I've heard that egg style plugs can be very effective when bass are on peanuts. Does anyone have one that they would care to post a pic of? Thanks.smile.gifsmile.gif

I"ll post one tonight - sand crab imitation - worked great on the flats - dig it down hard so the lip was kissing the sand - looked like a crab making a run for it's life -

yin & yang eggs from Hab's

Ah yes!!!!!!

The original, ever popular, but hard to find, Habs "Hab and Egger"

Great plug and holds surprisingly well in rough , white water and current.

Hey Eric, I'm thinking parsnipcwm27.gifcwm27.gifcwm27.gif

However, since you are now contributing to the economy, you are eligible for an Easter egg. Or in these days of political correctness, a spring break egg!!biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

See you when it's a bit, make that a whole lot, warmer.

Those crack me up! Is any weight required to get them to "orient" properly?

For mine, yes - and a pretty good sized slug at that. Things cast like a bomb, longest casting metal lip design you can make

No weight in mine. I actually bought the wooden eggs from AC Moore. They are crappy woood you just have to seal it well. They swim ok in calm conditions. I found the ones I build work best with some current. I remember fishign next to big country last year and him yelling over to me, "If you catch anything on that ball of wood, I'm giving up fishing." cwm27.gif

Sudsy is right, they cast a mile.
