I've said the next world record could very easily be a VA winter fish. That fish was still north but in the winter they catch some huge fish in the mouth of the Chessie around the bridge tunnel. Those fish pig on shad/herring/bunker moving out of and then back into the bay, plus they are carrying roe.

 

There's a lot of boats trolling and jigging big fish in the daytime. But little talked about are the few who eel up some real pigs at night.

 

There were some decent places to surf fish on the Delmarva side but now the feds own all of it and its off limits.
