Hold Up On The Zinner!

I just spent the past half hour reading the FINE PRINT on the back of the cans of Zinner, Kills, teak oil, etc...NOT TO BE USED IN UNDERWATER APPLICATIONS...on all of them. I think that our plugs fall into this category. I didn't have a can of val oil to read, but it may say the same thing???but I still use it for plugs...I refuse to use the BLO...I'd be the first guy to leave a rag rolled up and burn the friggin' house down! I realize that plugs are then painted, but the part that is in the hook and wire holes is not painted...so then what???

Doc,

If you could find a rock with a label it would say the same thing.

Have you looked at the label for Titebond III?

"Waterproof" glue even says the same thing.

I'm afraid that you wont find any primer that says it is OK for constant underwater submersion. (lures are just dipped anyway).

Get the oil based and it will serve you well.
