after seeing numbskull's post I gave it a trybiggrin.gif tried a squid color, squid's got a mess of colors in them, thought if it ended up red or orange or brown or tan it stills looks like a squidcwm27.gif I put too much paint in the first timeheadscratch.gif but epoxy makes everything look goodbiggrin.gif ..there hard to photo and they're different- looks like a mess comming out of the water..paint makes a film, paints sticky and wet.....I put tan/orange/metalic red drips in the water for the swimmer in pic, and just orange and metalic red for the 2 bodys.. numbskull, thanks for postingbiggrin.gif I think all my squid colored plugs will be dunked...how long do you let them dry before epoxyingheadscratch.gif thanks ed

Overnight should do. You can also try plunging them in tail first then turning them under water and lifting them out back first as long as the belly is centered (you'll get a line). It actually takes very little paint, only a few drops. There is a trick (which I've not yet mastered) to getting the different colors at the same viscosity to avoid lumping. Pfluger used to paint Pal-o-mines and ballerinas this way.
