this E bay scammers.

You bid on an item and win the bid. You receive a picture of the item you bid on.

Judge Judy court today has a women that sold items on E bay and stated that the person that won the bid got what she had advertized a picture of the item .

The high bidder attempted to get the person doing the selling to make good on the deal and was told to get lost that she received what was on E bay for sale. An envolpe with the picture.

The scammer a women with three children was admonished by the judge as to what kind of an example she was setting for her children.

The high bidder payed 400 dollars for two cell phones and the judge made the scammer pay 5000 and she was still saying she did nothing wrong. This same scammer had 7 other cases pending for the same scam.

Where is E bay responsiability in this process???

Oh the scammer was counter suiing for damages because when E bay did get on board they removed this person from selling under the present name, but a person like that will find another way to scam others.

What a world we live in

Maybe that's why it gets called "Evil Bay" For the life of me I can't understand why sane people make any attempt to buy on E Bay. But where there exists a potential bargain there around the corner will be the scumbag waiting to take advantage. We never learn.

I've done plenty of buying on ebay and even a little selling. I've never been scammed or scammed anyone else. As with most things in life, you have to use common sense - if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Check for positive feedback and only buy from established sellers (lots of good feedback).

I've bought plenty on ebay and never a problem. You have to check the sellers feedback. If the seller has sold hundreds of items with good feedback you should be OK. I would never buy from anyone who does not have a good track record there or is a "new" seller.

I have had hundreds of online transactions through many different sources and the only advice I have is this: 1) know EXACTLY what you want

2) know EXACTLY what it is worth and 3) know EXACTLY a method of payment which exposes you to the smallest possible risk. Knock on wood...I've never been taken or taken someone else for a ride. Keep your wits about you and don't lust after ANY material good. After all...it's all just stuff. And that's not what life is all about. Just my two cents.

Becareful with scammers in general. I had a similar problem with someone on Craigslist. Guy wanted to send me fake MOs for 3 times the value of what I was selling. Beware of fake checks and MOs these days.

I have 61 buys with no sales to date. Have never been scammed completely (shorted a few buys on parts but still came out OK) and I am way ahead of the game on $$$ spent.

The best deal I got was from a fairly new seller that had no pictures of his items. I got a 710 Greenie with a new greenie spool at a "buy it now" that was way too low and scared others off. The reel is a 9.9 out of 10. I got both items for less than the price of the spare spool.

I gambled and won smile.gif

Now I am buying a 2006 Chevy Silverado 4X4 off another web site. At least I get to see it and drive it before paying smile.gif
