So I'm driving up to NH with a buddy to meet a bunch of friends at a lake house, its snowing lightly but the roads are fine. We come to the top of the driveway, stop, then start sliding down the driveway, getting no traction at all. We get to the bottom of the driveway and launch off a 8 foot high retaining wall, flipping in the air, crash down onto a terrace, then roll off a second, 6 foot high retaining wall and come to rest on the drivers side of the car between the rock wall and the house. We climbed out without a scratch on us.

Neither I nor the driver were drinking. It turned out that there had been an ice storm a few days before and the driveway was a sheet of ice so slick that the fire department had to set up safety ropes after 2 cops and a paramedic fell trying to get to the house.

Here's what it looked like:

Not much BB, didn't have time to think, just remember how quiet it was as the car was in the air flipping.

Thanks JW, you anywhere near Sunapee?

No I'm out on the coast, but that ice covered everything south of the Whites.

Never spent any time around Sunapee, but I'd love to.
