Wierdest spinning reel

What is that thing? Do you fish 3 lines at a time or do you switch between the three rather than swap out a reel?

They were used for distance tournaments before the advent of the newer "long cast" spool spinning reels. The idea was to cut down on "lip friction" as the weight went farther out on the cast.

I wonder how well they worked? That triple line roller arrangement looks pretty cumbersome.

Any of you guy's ever try to fish any of these crazy old reels? freak.gif

Zim my friend just picked up this same Ocean City at a garage sale.

$2.00. I love how deep and thin the spool is. It's a wonder you could even cast it for distance let alone the abrasive nature of line coming off that deep spool.

Check out the size of the foot on this one cwm13.gif

I guess it would only have fit on the old style freshie rods with the two sliding rings instead of a seat.

Yep - I bet you would have a hard time getting that on a modern rod.

What make is that Sudsy?
