I grew up in Queens fishing for snappers in the bay or going out to the Party Boats in Brooklyn with my Grandfather. I moved to LI and did some surf fishing on the south shore before moving to sunny? Colorado 15 years ago(missing the surf for 14yrs 11 mos). The good news is that I'll be moving back this summer to eastern LI or eastern CT.

 

Until then I'll continue to read every thread and maybe ask a question or two.

Hi my friend, welcome. My dad had a charter boat in Sheepshead Bay, back in the 70's and 80's, berthed by the Flamingo. All has changed in the bay since those days. '

This place in #1, I believe you will enjoy this site as well as meet some decent folks.

Hi Jimmy, we went out on the Glory at Sheepshead Bay. I haven't been in that area in 35 years.

I remember the Glory, the old Chief, the Whitby. The America was one of my favorite boats. Do you remember Ross', across from the party boats?

Kind of like a Nathans. Sheephead bay is like a tourist thing now. lol

I don't recall Ross', but I do remember eating at Lundys. I wonder if its still there?

I know Lundy's, it seemed like it didn't fit in the bay, with the fishing boats and all. I'll be down that way in a few weeks, it'll be interesting to see more changes. The last time I was there was about a year and a half ago.
