I used to have something like that when I was a kid. Mine was made of cheap plastic and this was a LONG time ago but from what I remember it worked ok.

I used to have one of those quite awhile back. I always thought it worked kind of klutzy. The method I wrote about in this post is much easier.

i have one. use it, but on some line spools the "axel" doesnt fit. so as gadabout said it worked, but very klutzy.

I've had the Berkley one for years and never had a problem. I think it was like $20 when I got it.
