I went to buy rod building supplies today and ended up finding a allstar su-1208-2 x-hvy blank.I was looking to build a conventional heavy bait stick.I all ready own a su-1267 m-heavy spinner set up and love it dearly. The one thing I did not do was ask my supplier how much weight this blank can handle, getting old I guess! I was wondering if anybody had some insight headscratch.gif ......John

SU 1208, if it's anything like the All Star is is supposed to be modeled after, will top out at around 5 oz. The SU 1209 makes a better heavy conventional bait stick.

I'd even say just 4 OZ total for the 1208. the 1209 Ditch mentioned will handle about 8 total faily well. 6 and bait very well.
