Was there this past w/e and decided to hang it up until springtime as a result of that trip. there was nada in el aqua.

You should be able to put together a pretty good catch of short bass plugging the holes with small bombers and shads. They are still all over Monmouth County at least. Consider yourself lucky to get into some 28+ sized fish.

Had about 10 shorts over the last day and a half.....nor more than 4 hours of total fishing. SMALL fish, but they are there. Fish the bars and the surrounding area with small bomber/Redfins and a teaser. Just try small stuff......SLOW!!!

Saturday and Sunday were very nice!! 3 shorts / 2 clam / 1 plug. What a great place!!!!!
