Triggerfish ????

Found a dead fish rolling in the surf last night - and didn't recognize it. I kicked it onto shore to get a better look. It had nasty looking bottom teeth and the front of the dorsal had some sort of a spike (the rest of the fin & the belly were gone - crabs). Are these more common south of Maine? I thought it may be up here becase the water is so warm...it got up to 70 degrees the other day cwm31.gif . I don't think the temps have been that high in years.

Any opinions?

If it had sort of a round-ish type of profile along with a small mouth, there is a chance it could've been a trigger. While I haven't heard of them as far north as Maine, they do occasionally frequent New England (as indicated in earlier posts).
