arleyp
Check out whitefish press .com ( google for the correct address) for a recent book about Penn reels. great read.
gadabout
I was hoping your picture would show the handle as well. In any case, the 113H was first produced around 1964, so that narrows it down somewhat. Edited May 12, 2015 by gadabout

gadabout
If the handle is original, then that puts the reel in the earlier end of its range. Honestly, those butterscotch handles were generally found on 1950s or earlier reels. Possibly they were still using them in the early 60s. If you ever get a copy of the Penn book mentioned in an earlier post, you'll probably be able to date the reel more accurately from the style of the model number on the side plate. I've got some articles written by the author of that book that may shed some light. When I get a chance I'll see what I can find.
bennie
Thanks again I'm pretty sure the handles are original thay all had the same amount of cleaning to be done on the crome 50 or 60 years of grease and grime
