Improvements or changes for next season

Question of the board.

What improvements or changes do you plan for next season?

Here's my list.

1. Use teasers/flys more (see item 4).

2. Expand bucktailing and learn to use them more effectively, which means use them more.

3. Get a bit more extreme. Found some good rocks, know where there are some better ones.

4. Try fly fishing.

Alright, on the serious side

I plan to explore in daylight with snorkel/fins alot more. Swimming was fun, good exercise and helped change my fishing.

I plan on taking my six year old out on the beach for her first night-time excursion (with hotdogs, sleeping bag, marshmallows in case fish don't show!)

I plan on doing more teaser tying jig molding this winter, resulting in using them more this season.

I plan on fishing one or two totally new areas really hard, and a hopefully many more prospecting trips.

Last I promise to keep a log of the season with entries that go on past MAY!

Okay so maybe the last one wasn't all that serious. wink.gif

Oh Yeah, one more thing - I bought a 40' bait seine last year and I plan to put it to use more this year; to log/document the catch so I can start anticipating seasonal changes, matching the bait better, and do some live-lining with more than just eels. If I maintain my current level of ambition, I may even be able to provide a periodic "Bait Report" for those who are interested.

Only 17+ weeks till striper season...
