So this year I've decided to take my surf fishing to the next level and buy a wetsuit. I've never owned one, and I don't really know much about them because I've never surfed either. Can anyone give me a good recommendation on a beginner wetsuit that won't break the bank? If it matters, I'll only really be using it in the middle of summer so I don't want something very thick. Once fall comes I'll probably switch back to waders and a top. Any suggestions?

Looking for cheap neoprene top or vest to go over a wetsuit. I'm 6'1" and 180 lbs. Just something to go over my 3/2 for a bit more core insulation.

Just got a 5mm Farmer Johns wetsuit on Amazon. It’s a two piece with sleeveless bib style and zippered top you step into. Seems bomb proof for cold water surf casting. However I’m worried about my feet. No booties on this wetsuit the bibs stop at the ankles. So how do I keep my feet warm and maybe even dry? Looking at knee high seal socks then my Korkers or what? Should I return this and get a wetsuit that has booties built in. Any advice or recommendations welcome.

$100 shipped MAKO Yamamoto Reef Camo 2 Piece Open Cell Wetsuit - Large - 7.0 mm Used for a couple seasons, but well taken care, of I'm 6' 0 " and 165# and it fit well. Always used lube to get into it (I can't imagine how you wouldn't).

Selling this barely used combo. Recently lost some weight so large will be a better fit for me. Farmer John used maybe 5 times, step in jacket maybe 2. Step in jacket is 5mm and john is 3mm. Both in mint condition, washed with fresh water after every use. 110$ each, or 200 shipped for the combo.

Looking to get a new wetsuit seeing my current one (BARE Sport 7mm) is pretty torn up after 10 years of climbing onto rocks. I would rather pay the extra $$$ for comfort and something that lasts. I plan to use it during spring, summer and fall, so temperatures will obviously vary. To be honest, the 7mm wasn't as warm as you would think during the summer, but that's because if I ever get too hot, I would just unzip the back and get some water in there. A couple brands I've heard of are O'Neil, Quicksilver, Henderson and BARE, but could not tell which ones offer good protection around the knees. However, I'm not looking to get additional knee pads or anything- I would rather that be built in if possible. Let me know your thoughts on brands/models and any online shops you would recommend. Thanks!

Free Neosport Wetsuit size Small. Literally only worn for a total of 10 minutes. I would prefer to go to an aspiring surfcaster or someone in need. I only ask whomever wants it to pay the shipping which I assume won't exceed $20. Happy Holidays Everyone!

Thinking of upgrading my aquaskins small /tall. Aquaskins belt. This setup holds enough for a night out but trebles been getting caught in the bottom of top cover and tearing it up I am thinking of a three tube belt bag with a seperate pouch for jig heads and swim shads. A boga holder and maybe a single extra large tube or two for a couple trollers or large jointed plugs Leaning toward flatlander. Wondering if anyone else is making something of similiar quality I like the idea of seperate components so i can pack light when nescessary any ideas? Pics? I will be wetsuiting Thanks

I'm looking for the most versatile combination of wetsuits that will allow me to kayak fish in ocean temps of about 50F and up. Will this work? Farmer John - 3mm or 5mm? Wetsuit jacket - 2mm or 3mm Boots - 3 mm or 5mm Gloves - 2mm Surf cap - 2mm Paddle jacket Any feedback on thicknesses? Anything I'm not considering before I pull the trigger on some of this gear? Thanks.

Will a 4mm farmer john allow me to stay out until the end of November? Currently I stick to rivers (Navesink, Shrews) and Sandy Hook Bay. Next year I may consider going out front when conditions are good.I see surfers wearing 4/3 full suits now.

So I do a good amount of kayak fishing and this past season, I picked a wetsuit to wear on the yak from leisure pro in NYC. I fish out of staten island. I got 3MM neoprene booties off amazon, to go with the 3MM Pinnacle wetsuit considering I'm using it mainly on the kayak. However once October comes around and i make my trips down to Montauk, id like to wear the wetsuit when I'm fishing because there are some days when the waders are just a headache walking up and down the beach. My main question is, considering I have the neoprene booties now, would those work if I am able to find a pair of cleats for the bottoms? Do they even have that option? They are just rubber sole at the bottom and flexible to conform around your feet. Im sure they would be wearable down on hither hills, town beach, sandy beaches and etc. I just think if I'm down by the point or turtle cove where there are rocks and obstacles, to climb around that I will need some sort of cleated boots. If that is the case, what do you guys recommend for the wetsuit boots? (Brands, models, etc..)
