Selling 4 surf rods that explain the evolution of my surf fishing journey... 1. (First 8 pics) Started out with tossing bait on an Ugly Stik Bigwater 11ft rated for 3-8oz <excellent condition rod> $45 2. (Next 11 pics)Moved to plugging on Penn Prevail 10ft rated for 1-5oz <excellent condition> $50 3. (Next 21 pics) Stepped up to a Mojo Surf 10’6 Medium Power, Moderate Action, rated for 3/4-4oz <excellent condition> $170 4. (Last 14 pics) Inherited a Classic Rod from my uncle, a G Loomis SUR 1266S 10’6 Surf Series rod, rated for 1-5oz <replaced the ugly original wrapping on the handle with rubber shrink tube, overall... the guides, the reel seat, the blank itself, is in very good condition> $180 Now I’m fishing a GSB 108L and don’t really use these rods. I’m a fanatic when it comes to taking care of my tackle. All rods are in excellent condition... I tried to post as many pics as possible. I’m accepting cash for these rods. Local pick (Jones Beach, NY) up only.

Anyone have a cheap 11' or 12' spinning surf rod laying around to throw maybe a 3-4oz pyramid and bait. Ideally something with a 3-8oz lure rating and a 50/50 split for transport. I am located north of Boston and can travel from NH to Cape Cod. Trying to keep this at maybe $60 and under. (Maybe an 11' ugly stik?) Anyone in the area have something collecting dust they would sell? Thank you

I'm looking for old Ugly Stik Bigwater series one piece 7' rods specifically the BWS1102 spinning rod and BWB1140 boat rod. I'm located in Boston, MA. Would prefer to pickup, but willing to have shipped if reasonable. Will be in NJ next weekend.

Hi, Next summer I want to try to catch some small sharks (4-6 feet) from the beach in Block Island. I was watching some videos on YouTube and the guy said that he uses an Ugly Stik Bigwater 9 foot for sharks from the beach. Do you all think this would work? The rod doesn't need to have good action or be very light or any niche things like that. I just need to be able to cast bait and a sinker out into the ocean. Ugly Stiks do have a reputation for being indestructible, and they're not too expensive. Side note - is it even possible to catch sharks from Block Island? It has to be... I just never hear or see anything about it. Thanks

I'm looking for older 7' 1 piece Ugly Stik Bigwater spinning (BWS) and boat (BWB) rods. They can be new or used (assuming the condition is good). These are the black ones with the yellow and red wraps. I will add the model numbers when I get home. I'm in the Boston area and willing to drive an hour for pickup. Plus, I regularly fish the Canal, so can gladly meet there.

I hope I don't get too much flak, but I am a guy that enjoys using ugly stiks often. I do have the higher end rods. When it comes to taking inexperienced friends and family out fishing I just have a rough time putting a $200 plus rod in their hands if you know what I mean. Ugly Stik not too long ago had a nice sale on some new original model ugly stiks. They were making way for their new elite series rods. Does anyone have experience with these new ugly stiks? Any pros or cons from the new designs? Are they the same blanks?
