  1. Figured I’ll try here first before hitting the local shops. Looking to buy this rod if anyone local to MA has it and want to sell it. Shimano Trevala S Jigging Spinning Rod - TVSS63MH
  2. I would like to trade three rods for another rod or other items that I'm interested in. I can trade individually or grouped. I can either meet up within 60 mi radius from Baltimore or ship. I know shipping can get expensive, but I won't charge you for shipping (And I expect the same from you)... I once sold a rod for $75 and paid $50 for shipping... But had to just go through with it, Lol. What I am offering: Shimano Teramar Model: TMS-70MH Condition: Like New. Bought it, but hasn't been used yet. Purchase price: $120 Reason for selling: I have another rod with the same action that I started to use. I do not need a spare for this kind of rod. Shimano Trevala Model: TVC-66M Condition: Very Good. First owner. Used 2-3 times. Purchase price: $130 Reason for selling: I found out that I like Medium Heavy action for bottom/wreck fishing from headboats, which I bought this rod for. St. Croix Legend Tournament Musky Model: LTMU69XHF Registered a few weeks ago Condition: Very Good. First owner. Used once. Purchase price: $225 from St. Croix website Reason for selling: Same as above. I like Heavy/Medium Heavy action for bottom/wreck fishing from headboats, which I bought this rod for. 3. Shimano Trevala tvs66-mh2- almost new, used maybe twice. Two piece for ease of travel, joins at the top of the foregrip for one piece action. The perfect rod for our inshore/light offshore waters. A blast in stripers and blues, probably the best diamond jigging rod you'll find. $80 Stingo Fish G Rod- 5'6" vertical jigging rod rated for 200g (7oz) jigs, but it fishes 250g (~9oz) jigs beautifully. Used a handful of times on amberjack in North Carolina. Also a two piece, also connects at top of foregrip. These rods are unbreakable and discontinued. Removable rubber gimbal cap. Excellent condition. $100 OTI OceanXtreme 40/60 popping rod- 7'6", two piece butt join rod rated for plugs up to 125g (~4.4oz) This rod is perfect for our offshore/nearshore topwater opportunities. I've caught smaller tuna to about 20lbs or so, mahi, and some amberjack in NC on it, but I'm confident that it could handle tuna to 150lbs or so. It would actually make a great heavy jetty/bridge rod, as its length and action would allow you to cast big plugs a long way while not being too long and cumbersome, and you could really put the screws to a fish in big current. Has one small scratch in the epoxy by the stripper guide from a treble hook during a bumpy ride (pictured), but that's it. $200 If you buy all three and get yourself outfitted for all of your NY offshore/inshore jigging and popping adventures, I'll let em go for $360. Will meet up anywhere within reason from RVC
  4. Hi Everybody, long time lurker here who could use some advice on my next gear fix. Im narrowed it down to a left hand Avet sx mc 5.3 paired with a Trevala rod, which I'm going to use for jigging and as an all around boat rod. I generally fish the mouth of the Patuxent on the Chesapeake Bay for Blues and Stripers. What I'm not yet sure about is the rod weight. The nice guys over at JandH tackle recommended Medium Heavy. While there is definitely potential for some cows in the Spring and Fall, I'm wondering if a medium would be better in order to keep it a bit sporty for the smaller to medium sized fish, while having enough backbone to handle bigger stripers and blues. Im new to jigging so dont know that much about it, but i definitely plan to use it to jig the 100 foot hole at the mouth of the Patuxent. From what i've learned so far (not much) I'm guessing that will be 2-5 oz jigs. I figured i could also use it for chunking, live-lining spot, and throwing some lures that are too heavy for the light spinning rig i usually cast with. Any thoughts or recommendations highly appreciated!
  5. I'm looking to sell my shimano trevala spinning rod. It is the jigging model, 7 ft medium-light. It says it is rated for 55-135 grams, 20-50 lb braid. Rod is brand new, casted maybe 20 times. Just no need for it at this time. Rod retails brand new $119.99. I'm looking to get $90 meet up North Jersey. Will post pictures in a bit if there is interest, but like i said its in brand new condition so there isn't much to show.
