With all of the new custom cabinet jobs I've ben getting, I thought I was stupid for not spending a few bucks for some tools/jigs that make work not only easier. But more importantly speed tasks along. Still trying to keep my knuckles from dragging on the ground Got good deal from Rockler https://www.rockler.com/rockler-router-bit-center-depth-gauge https://www.rockler.com/rockler-universal-drawer-slide-jig

I bought a Makita drill set today. I thought I was buying an impact driver and regular drill driver but when I got home I realized I bought the hammer driver instead of the regular drill driver. It's a cordless 4.0 Ah 18v. Im wondering if I can switch off the hammer function on this drill, effectively making it a 2-in-1 hammer driver and regular drill? On the nose dial there is what looks like a hammer symbol. If the hammer symbol is not selected, is the hammer function disabled? Should I return it? Pictures attached. Thanks this is my first power tool set

My Abels were too fancy to use, and lost their spring (also didn't like how wide the tips were). My 12 y.o. Checkpoints have done great service, but I think I need an upgrade. Cutting monofilament, spectra braid, thin wire bite tippett, and the occasional hook. What's your recommendation? Thank you.

Anyone got ideas on screw extractor tools, using heat, soaking, etc. Specifically, trying get out the cover screws (~3 mm slotted head) on a small Luxor 'A', but it's also a problem with other older reels. Muchas Gracias ...
