Anyone have any recommendations for teasers that would represent the sand eels found in NJ? I'm just starting out tying and really want to tie up a bunch of these. I was planning on using Mustad 34007 hook in size 2/0. Am I heading in the right direction?

I am a college engineering student so I really like making things rather than spending money on them as money is tight at the moment. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to make teasers that go on the popular bucktail rigs when fishing for flounder. I know people make their own bucktails but is there a way to make the teasers that go on the second hook? Thank you all for any ideas.

Looking for a rotary vise for tying teasers and bucktails,larger saltwater hooks. What do you guys use..trying to stay under $100 thanks!!

I am making a baitfish imitation. No fly tying involved, just a piece of rubber hot glued to a hook. I plan to use this like a teaser. I noticed that a lot of teasers and surf candies have their hook point facing down. Is it important for the hook to face down? Maybe so the weight will be on the bottom and the teaser can swim upright?

Just started saltwater fly fishing and I have a few salt flies I picked up at fleamarkets. I have quite a few teasers from my flounder kit. I realize they have larger hook sizes. Does anyone use teasers as salt flies?

Hi guys so I see and hear a lot of guys using teasers on their surfcasting in front of SP minnows and other plugs... few questions... how far in front of the plug should your dropper loop be? Total length of leader? Also what weight tsunami holo eel is best (or what other teasers used)? Lastly on casting distance... I loose at least a 1/3rd of distance just adding a teaser... any tips on technique to stop the helicopter? Perhaps the first part of this will give me the answer (my current leader and teaser not right). Thanks!
