  4. Lemme know if ya got this model in good to mint condition and looking to offload.
  5. 9.9/10 Avid Salmon Steelhead rod for sale - lightly used about 4-5 times, the little bit of dirt on cork below reel seat is the only reason for 9.9...otherwise mint This is a CASTING model, 9’ Medium, 1/4-3/4, 8-12lb line Retails for $260 if you can find it, was discontinued last year... Rod definitely has that unique parabolic without being mushy action for fighting big fish on lighter lines... Only trades I’d consider are rod + cash for a Century Weapon or Slingshot you may be looking to offload. $230 cash pickup/meetup NJ, OC/MoCo
  6. Didn't find a thread with any buzz about the new bass rod dropping soon from SC. I am guessing that they may drop the series name and rod specs tomorrow but we'll see. They really aren't great at marketing. Anyway theres a couple teaser vids on the website/Youtube you can check out. Based on the videos, the series is going to be a USA made SCIII/SCVI hybrid blank with a focus on light overall weight, strong backbone, and to address complaints of tip heaviness in other series. Sounds like it'll sit between Avid and LTB, or just replace Avids. Tough to say though, since Avids aren't marketed as a technique specific series and this new rod is going to be a FW bass series. You can catch a few glances of the rod in the videos they've released so far. Looks pretty sharp with a split grip design that looks similar to some Dobyn's rods. Pretty excited to see if the series delivers. Took some screen grabs to avoid posting links but it's all easy to find. Got my hopes up for a 7'1"-7'4" extra fast bottom contact offering. What are your thoughts?
  7. In the market for one of the older Legends. Just not a fan of the looks on the newer models (fantastic rods I know, just personal preference). My question for you guys that fish the older rods with the lowriders, how are they as far as fish fighting power and durability goes? Thanks!
  8. Wtb St croix avid 7 ft medium heavy spinning VIS70MHF
  9. Had Ryan White from Advanced Fishing/Century/Hatteras Jacks in Rodanthe North Carolina custom build this rod with the grips, holographic striper decal and it’s 10’6 which it launches anything. Rod is in great shape and guides are great and reel seat is great! I’m located just North of Boston near the Southern NH border so if your willing to pick it up come n get it!
  10. Thread to keep track of who just bought the most Tidemasters in one shot :D. The holiday email from SC got me good. Who else loves this series and plans on stocking up as it's phased out?
  11. Ok i read lot of advices and topic about the same , which one is more "loved"... my scenario of fishing is beach, a bit windy most of the time (other days is windy as hell), the fish i find here is snook and tarpons, the most "common", i have 30lb jbraid on a Daiwa BG4000 and 40lb supwerpower on a BG5000, On the way is coming 2oz talkin poppers and 2 3/8 pencil, 2oz Spro bucktail (items for a surf starting thinking in the beach i fish every day) , i fish from the rocks (breakwaters), sometimes from the sandfloor, what u recomend me, i have $240 giftcard on my amazon wallet, and i see not much stocks on st croix mojo surfs, but i have 9' 3/4 4 and 1-4, .... Have the TFO 9' MAG L too 1-5 but dont know much about these rods, thank you all.
  12. For someone who followed my last posts, about if penn slammer , clash or shimano saragosa, well... This was my first fight with this duo, penn slammer 5500 + St Croix Mojo Surf 9' MMF2, daiwa jbraid grand 0.28mm, 50lb fluo. For cast the mojo surf mmf2 is a bit stiff, but the fast action helps a LOT with the hook! so, more strenght to cast but less hook out Enjoy the drag cries!!

  20. Brand new with tags. Unregistered. 7’ Medium Heavy model spinning. Rated 10-20lb. Gorgeous rod. Too nice for me to use. $270 picked up $300 shipped.
  21. Anyone have any time on these rods that can really give a good opinion. Was looking for the 7’ MHF Avid inshore spinner for fluke and tog. Occasional Striped bass. Only had the heavy. Ended up going with the same rated Legend Tournament Inshore. Is it sensitive enough for fluke? Can these handle Striped Bass? Or is it more of a schoolie rod and it will get manhandled by a good 30lber or 15lb blue fish? This is all boat fishing tossing bucktails, kastmasters, Diamond jigs. Also, I’ve heard way too many St Croix horror stories. Should I be worried?

Freshly spooled with 30lb power pro. Combo $225 local pickup Queens/Nassau Rod $125 local pickup Queens/Nassau
  25. WTS VS 150 Black, Low Serial # comes with 2 spools. Reel has internal counterweight and was last serviced before start of 2017 season. Then used for the month of May and pretty much laid to rest since. Reel foot has been upgraded to new heavier, improved version by Van Staal in 2015. Comes with Bag but not box...unfortunately that was lost during a move. The reel has a blemish on bottom of foot from sitting in rod vault...aside from that its fine and ready to go. $500 shipped paypal. Thanks for looking!
