In January, I bought a pair of the Simms Tributary boots to fish NJ sod banks and beaches. At first the boots seemed nice, but very firm as others had mentioned in reviews; I like the support. However, in less than 6 months and 20 fishing trips I noticed cracks in the soles (pictured). Then, still before they were 6 months old and less than 25 fishing trips, the laces ripped through the lace eye loop material (pictured) as I was tying the laces. I then noticed that the material in other lace eye loops were also fraying. I filled out the warranty repair information on Simms Customer Care Team webpage, included the pictures, and waited to hear from Simms. About a week later, Simms Customer Care Team response was: “… Our Warranty and Repair Technicians have reviewed your claim and determined that this product will need to be returned to Simms for further evaluation. Please ship your item to the address below:” well, I looked into shipping the boots back to Simms through USPS and the cost was $25. I’m not about to spend about $25 (or 25% of purchase price) to ship 6-month-old boots that cost $99 and are warrantied for 12 months for the purpose of “further evaluation.” Simms’ once legendary customer service is no more, at least not for products made in Vietnam. And so it's clear, I'm that giy who washes everything off with the hose when I get home. With these boots I have been super carefully to flush the metal eye loops that I expect will rust off in a couoke of years, just like Korkers did. I then place them upside down between the railing spindles in my deck to dry. They were well cared for.

I am looking to sell my size 13 Simms FreeSalt Boots and set of Korkers. I got these this year, I used these for roughly 5 trips. I have found the type of fishing I am doing I don't end up using these too much and its time to get rid of them. I have the bag of extra studs as well I can throw in if interested. $200.00 for everything, I live in CT but can ship if you pay for shipping.

Bought these boots brand new this year and used them 3x and it didn’t really consist of walking or hiking because I rode a bike to my spot then waded. They are in great shape. Let me know if you want them then come pick them up in Andover/Tewksbury, Ma area or pay for shipping. $80 is the perfect price seeing as though most atms only give multiples of $20.

I’ve been on a 3 year break from fishing. My old reliable Simms Muckboot waders are leaky and I’m looking for something on par for reliability and quality. I know now there’s a bunch of wader threads but I’m looking specifically for high end quality so I figured it would be worth a new thread. Talk to me goose! thanks, ErikT

I destroyed two other pairs of wading shoes wetsuit surfcasting before I found these Simms. These shoes are without a doubt the best part of my gear setup, originally spent $260 for studs and shoes. Lightweight but very well made. They have tungsten carbide studs embedded in them. These studs are long enough to chew right through the seaweed. They are very comfortable. I went from dreading the next slip and fall to just focusing on the fishing. Lace them up and you are good to go, no extra straps. Excellent drainage. All of the lacing hardware is intact, they are worn but they have many years of life left. I wear a size 10-10.5 normal shoe, these are size 11. They worked well for me wearing a 3mm - 5mm bootie depending on the temp.
