A friend who knows a lot about boats, but not so much about fish or fishing, told me that the slap of a wave on a hull frightens fish more if the hull is metal, rather than glass. He's in Florida (Pine Island, SW Florida) where most of the hulls I've seen are either flats boats or bay boats. Getting to the ocean, if you have a deep V or a sportsfisherman, can take some careful navigation.
I might see this as plausible in a flats boat stalking bonefish in 18" of water. Does anyone who is knowledgeable care to comment?
