  1. I’m going to Cabo for Christmas. I am bringing my 10’ St Croix travel rod and bailless Tsunami Shield 5000. Gear wise am I ok? Anyone have any experience surf fishing Cabo in December? What is biting and what should I be throwing?
  2. Kathrine and Dennis Verreet are fishing rooster from the surf in East Cape, Baja now. The area is known for rooster. Kathrine got this rooster using 10'6" Black Hole Cape Cod Nano rod. They just started and they will send more pictures soon. The rods are very popular for tarpon and drum in Florida and for rooster in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It is very effective to work lures with soft tip and it is easy to fight with soft bend of the rod. They become popular among striped bass fishermen on the East Coast.
  3. Hi, I am heading to Costa Rica in a couple of weeks and hoping to do a little fishing from the beach while down there. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a spinning rod and reel I should buy for the trip? Hoping to not break the bank as this type of fishing only happens for me once every two or three years. Any advice on lures would be awesome as well. Thankyou for any advice! Josh
