  1. Surfcaster 6-rod locking roof rack. About 39” wide. I’m located on the East End of LI, happy to give it to someone who’ll use it if you come pick up. If you want it but need it shipped you pay for shipping. Price: free but you pay for shipping
  2. Bought an OEM roof rack for my 2012 Honda Pilot several years ago off of Amazon. Well, as the pics show, the rack they sent me included two right-side front covers. I called them to replace it with the correct piece and as Amazon likes to do, they sent me another entire roof rack. So, it's brand new and just needs the left-side front cover, which is less than $10. Pick it up in West Orange, NJ.
  3. Located in Suffolk CO, Long Island in the Stony Brook area. I bought brand new these last winter and they have been installed on my car since. Everything is in very good condition aside from a couple of small scuffs on the bars (shown in pics). Comes with lock cores, two keys, and a blank. Selling entire combo for $240, local pickup only please.
  4. Hey folks, I have for sale a "like new" Denver Outfitters Titan Rod Vault. I originally settled on this because it was an excellent and secure way to bomb around Cape Cod. When I installed this spring, much to my dismay, my Orvis H3 8wt wouldn't fit because the largest stripping guide carries a larger diameter than the inside of the the vault tube diameter. I called Denver Outfitters and they disclosed that was the one 8wt rod that doesn't fit (and since then, they've added that the inside diameter is 1.5"). If it weren't for this insurmountable obstacle, I'd be thrilled with this product. If you're interested, certainly measure your largest stripping guide first. The vault has seen about about a month of sun, no wear or tear, and has 1 small "Bote" sticker on it that could be easily removed. This model holds two rods. D.O. was good about it- they offered to take it back for a refund, but knowing what kind of box it came in, honestly, I'm not interested in rigging a 6ft box up to ship back. I'd rather offer it at a hefty discount of $250. That's $100 off their consistent price. I'm able to accommodate a local pick up, either on Cape Cod or in suburban Boston (Newton, MA). Thanks for considering, Mac
  5. WTS Surfcaster Brand roof rack. Good condition. Rubber on one tube worn a little. I only used that tube and one next to it. Other tubes dont look used. Im second owner. I bought from a friend. 150.00 No shipping suffolk county long island
  6. First time poster long time troller. I fish out east on Long Island. Always great info on this forum and decided to join. I was wondering what people are doing for locking up their gear when away from their vehicle. With expensive rods and reels I’m worried about random theft. Even heard guys having rods cut so the thief can get to just the reel. With the influx of younger tourists flooding the back towns in the summer it seems more precaution should be taken . Any thoughts or ideas is greatly appreciated! thanks all
  7. Per title, looking to sell a Thule rack off my old Honda Civic (4) 480 traverse feet (2) 50" square bars (4) Thule Fit Kit 1563 - Fits 4 door civics from 01-05 and Acura EL 4 dr 01-06 (according to Thule website) Everything is in very good used condition, there is one very small ding in the plastic at the end of one bar. I used this to carry a 13 ft kayak for many seasons without any problems. Asking $185 Meet up in Westchester or near City Island NY I can post more pics if there is interest, thanks for looking
  8. Looking to sell a complete roof rack mounting system used for kayak transport. Included in the sale are: Thule 480R Foot Pads Thule Aeroblade 53" Crossbars Thule Fit Kit for Audi Ar 2006 - 2015 Thule Lock Cylinders Everything was purchased new in March of 2015. The racks have been used for 2 seasons. I used this package to transport my Hobie Revolution 13 kayak throughout the fishing season. Looking to sell now due to new car that already has roof racks. Everything purchased new cost $515, looking to sell for $280. I believe the 480R and Aeroblades can be used with most model cars and all you would need to do is purchase a fit kit to match your car model. I live in Queens NY and will only do local pickups. I will post pictures later tonight after I get home. Thanks for looking.
  9. Hi fellas, need some opinions. I upgraded to an Outback & will be transporting it on a Subaru Outback. I told the person who I bought the kayak from that I was looking into the Thule Slipstream for the assistance in loading it onto the roof. He advised against this suggesting that the rack would not provide enough support while loading. Any of you guys using this rack with the Hobie Outback? Because my car came with the factory crossbars it limits what racks I can use but I'm open to any other suggestions that you guys with more experience can suggest. Thanks
  10. This winter I purchased a brand new Rola Kayak Roof Rack, it is the type that allows you to load your kayak hull down on the roof. I already have a j-rack on my car and I was hoping to be able to load a second Outback in this cradle on the side, unfortunately my sense of space sucks and its not even close. ( The link for the exact product is here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P60E50A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I also purchased a boat roller to load my kayak by myself which is no longer of any use to me since I have no cradles to load it on to! That product is listed here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009PAAI5I) Both of these items are basically brand new, I opened them, installed them and tried them once. I paid $70.00 for the Rola Roof Rack and $35 for the boat roller, I'd love to get my money back but I'd consider any solid offers to cut my losses at this point. I live in Manhattan and am often on Staten Island so I can meet up in those areas to exchange. I'd ship the items at full cost depending on what it's going to run me to send them. Like I said the items are pretty much new but I will attache some photos when I've got a moment. Thanks, Jimmy
  11. Used Thule Roof Rack System. Shows a little wear and tear but in overall good shape. Consists of: * Thule 58"long square load bars. * Thule 430 Tracker II foot pack. * Thule TK 1 foot anchor kit. * Thule 520 kayak stacker kit. New these items were about $375. Sell $175, less shipping. HillTop
  12. Thule Track (anodized aluminum), Tracker II Foot Kit, and TK1 Adapter Kit. This kit screws to the roof of your vehicle, trailer, cap, RV, etc... The only thing missing that it actually came with are the flare nuts. They can be purchased online. Once the flare nuts are used, they cannot be re-used. (you can also use small nuts and bolts with rubber washers for certain surfaces) This was mounted on the roof of my truck and taken good care of. Just like anything else Thule, these do not come with locks, but locks can be purchased and installed. This kit, as shown cost over $350. As you know, Thule is a great long-lasting product! This kit requires the Thule square bars. $225 cash, pick-up only.
