  1. Alright, so how to y'all deal with the family coming to visit and fish but wanting to use the plugs you spent hours or days on trying get in touch with? When the plugs start to feel right and you know them. The mojo is there. My nephews like to toss bait and sometimes plug, often when I'm at the beach they don't bring gear, which is fine, I got extra setups they use. But then comes the difficult part, the plug selection they participate in. I got MY plugs I use in my couple bags and some Plano flats. I takes a while as y'all know to get to know how each swims about. I try to steer them to the reusable shopping bag just about full of unfished plugs, still in the plastic bags with hook protectors on them. All kinds of custom plugs. I tell them to take whatever ones they want and have at it, take a Plano box and put the ones you use in there and take them for next time. BUT this seems not to work out thus far, they goto the boxes I keep and start in on MY plugs and ,me not wanting to be a selfish tool just shake my head and bear it. How do you deal with this stuff?

  10. My 11' Mojo rod snapped on a routine cast just above my hand on the fore grip, casting a darter. I have heard this is a very common issue on legends and mojo. Contacted customer service, no reply. And honestly, any company who makes a solid product should not need to offer so many add-on "warranty plans". That means the failure rate of their product is high. Anyone else have this issue? I refuse to buy a warranty plan... Not giving st. Croix another cent of my business... There are simply too many other rod companies I can support. Thanks for the ignore ST. Croix... I guess you only respond to people who pay for a lame warranty.

  20. Im looking to upgrade from my tica dolphin 9' with Penn spinfisher v to something 10'6. I'm thinking tsunami airwave elite or st croix mojo. Leaning a little towards tsunami because I want to put a new reel on and it'll save a few. Any objections. And any suggestions to a good reel pairing for either rod. In a perfect world of go vs but I don't think it'll happen just yet so something a little more economical. Was considering sheild but not completely sold on it and my price range is by no means restricted to that low either
  21. Hi folks! I am looking for a rod to pair with my Saragosa 10k with #50 braid for fishing migrating tarpons (70-200 lbs). I'm between two rods: Shimano Terez and St-Croix Mojo Salt. I'm leaning towards the St-Croix because of the warranty and the fact that it is made in usa. Moreover, I've read some bad things about the Terez (breaking for no reason), but it looks like the perfect match for the Saragosa. What would be your recommendation? Thanks!

  23. Hey guys I know the recommended surf rod length is 10'6" but I been told that for shorter guy it might be better with 9' rod. I'm 5'7" and planning to get Mojo Surf if that matter. Please provide some input, thanks.
  24. Hey guys I have a 10' mojo surf rod brand new in the original package from St Croix. It's a MSS100MMF2 rated 10-20 LB and 1-4 OZ. the rod is a 2 piece graphite rod with "x wrap" handles and it comes with tags (under 5 year warranty). I bought the rod for $220, I'm looking for $200 or best or best offer. Please offer the worst I can do is say no. Thanks guys! (First post on here so not sure if pictures will upload)
  25. Hey guys, this is my first post and I just wanted to test the waters and see if I can get an answer. Currently I fish with a custom made 9'6" lami with a penn battle. The rod is fairly stiff and id just like to upgrade it. i just ordered the St. Croix Mojo 10'6" MM because it'l be better for plugging and pencils then my current setup and I've been reading great reviews on the rod. Im looking to pair up the mojo with a vs200 or a vs250 in the near future. What do you recommend? The vs200 or the vs250 for a 10'6" Medium Moderate rod. I know that either reel will probably be suitable but id like to hear some opinions. Thanks guys
