  1. Thinning closet, Selling as a set, not splitting. JDM 2015 Daiwa Catalina BJ reels. Japanese market only reels. never released in US. I bought them back in 2018. one is a righty high gear ratio , stock double paddle replaced with factory JDM Daiwa SLP power handle. one is lefty lower gear ratio with double paddle. built like tanks. essentially the same design as a JDM Saltiga BJ100 reel. in great condition with light normal usage marks no corrosion, no bad bearings, everything works, Just use it straight out of the box. filled with 20lb Sufix coastal blue line. non-disengaging levelwind for superb casting, jigging, inshore, slow pitch jigging. has centrifugal brakes inside solid 15lb drags, smooth cranking. one screw, easy sideplate removal MADE IN JAPAN. IMHO much better then a low profile reel of same size. inshores, lexas, F all that made in thailand, vietnam crap. and looks a hell of alot better in machined aluminum. When released, they cost me about $360 each. +$70 for the power handle. I junked the stock handle as it sucked. boxes and all. $425 shipped insured.

I am looking to build a saltwater medium action, composite (graphite/glass mix), for line 8-17lb, 8’ length, throwing 1-2.5oz. What are your suggestions. I would be using it to catch stripers, bonito, tautog.
  4. My dad is 65 and in good health but has a bad wrist and knee. He would like to get a kayak so he can ocean fish with me next year. He's got an ultralight kayak now for back bays/freshwater that weights less than 20 lbs. He's concerned about the weight of a 12+ foot sot kayak, being able to transport it and get it to the water. He has a small sedan so a trailer is out.So I guess I'm looking for something very light and any thoughts on how make loading/transport easier. Thanks for any ideas.
  5. Hey guys, can't complain cause Ive had a great fall fishing season thus far but some of my gear needs replacing. Just ordered a pair of Hansom Pliers because my old pliers were cheap and seen there days and I didn't wan't to dish $350 on VS lol. I heard great reviews though on the hansoms. anyways, my cabela's neoprene waders which I've worn for about the last 4-5 seasons reached their usage. I have a leak between the legs and 2 around the boots. Siliconed them up and want to use them as a backup pair now since they are worn and heavy. Im in the market for a lighter pair of waders, preferably a breathable pair. Anybody suggest any breathable waders? I have used my brothers pair of hodgeman ultra lights which are insanely light and awesome for running up and down the beach but they are too thin for me. I do a lot of fishing on rocks and heavy surf so I want durability and strength as well as lightweight. Thanks for any suggestions guys !
