  1. To all: Just curious. Do any of you guys use the "New York" style rigged eel here in NJ? This is nothing more than a dead eel with two siwash hooks lashed to the body of the eel. I would like to here from some of you who do fish riggies this way. It seems that in Ct, RI and MASS. this is the convention. Some time ago I read a thread on this. This style of rigged eel was described by Tim S as "Kinda like a hamburger without the bun, good but not the best." Even though this may be an unconventional method for NJ I am sure there are some who wouldn't do it any other way. The reason I am starting this thread is that I am intrigued by regional differences in surfcasting. For example my good friend Dave lives in Connecticut. I sent him a school bus bomber, he had never seen them in use by anyone. Most Jersey bass fisherman would never leave home without one! Did this plug work in Ct? You bet it did.
