  1. I was able to reach and catch some schoolies from shore last week as they were blitzing , they were chasing mostly rainbait from what I could see. They were 20 to 24 inchers , and perhaps some bigger mixed in the group, but it didn't come to mind to reach for a bigger of different plug ( I was using 2oz pencil popper) to see if anything else of size was there.. Tell me what would you have done differently or what plug would you be using, also share any similar experiences and maybe some patterns you were able to discern. thanks for any advice.
  2. Today I experienced my first surf blitz. I've been gearing up for it all year and I've been fishing in the wrong places all Fall. Today I got a tip from a friendly fisherman and relocated. I happened on over 50 fisherman shoulder to shoulder at the tail end of a nice blitz. The beach was littered with big cow keepers. By the time I got there, only schoolies were to be had but I got 4 in the first hour. It was dead low tide and when the tide went slack the bite died off. I threw a Danny plug but ended up catching all of my fish on a swim shad with a teaser. I'm hooked. I will be out every chance I get from here on out.
  3. So I picked the sony as100v action camera last week primarily to use for fishing. Basically for taking pics and recording blitzes, fighting fish and stuff like that since its a waterproof action cam. I ordered the head mount and the chest mount straps but the head mount seems to be little heavy and the camera is annoying. The chest strap seems to feel fine but idk if the videos will look as good from that POV. Has anyone else recorded any fishing with a go pro or sony action cam and used the chest or head straps??? Is it just me that doesn't feel comfortable with the head strap? Id like to get the best footage I can so that I can edit it at the end of the season and make a video clip out of the footage.
