  1. Incredible footage. Russian tank giving suppression fire with Russian Troops breathing down his neck. Keeps calm and survives.
  2. It was inevitable. Sad, to see Putin complete his conquest of most of Ukraine's seacoast. Kiev's only remaining port of significance is Odesa. I don't know if that is capable of providing real maritime commerce with the world, and even if it is, Russia was de facto blockading Ukrainian commerce well before the shooting started. They still control the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. What a fight the Azov Battalion and other units in the plant put up. I'm guessing that Kiev ordered the surrender because the defenders were out of ammo, food, etc. Casualties are being taken to Russia for "medical treatment." I wonder how many will get a bullet in the back of the head. There is no upside in any moral sense. It may be that Putin will celebrate his victory and agree to a ceasefire, and that the ceasefire line will congeal into a border, exactly as has happened in Korea. It remains to be seen if the ceasefire will be more (if it does happen) then temporary. Kiev fought for Europe. Let's hope Europe makes the most of this opportunity.
  3. I’m ok with supporting a country under attack… but boy oh boy that’s a be disparity in contribution amounts. to me, if you told me the goal was the bankrupt the United States of America, I’d say the Biden administration, along with the entire Democratic Party are doing an outstanding job of executing the plan. the lack of action to remediate some of these problems just lends itself to speculation that the government is literally trying to make our country fail and make us weak. this is why Americans love the America First agenda. We are supposed to be the beacon of hope. A place you can go to where everyone is inspired to work hard and get rewarded. A place where the government has your back and creates opportunities for growth. A place that is risk averse and mitigates against it when possible to help it’s citizens. instead, we have a moron in charge and a party of some idiots who constantly use identity politics and accuse anyone who makes a valid point against any of their decisions, as a racist. wicked people, who in the past would have been placed in a nuthouse for being certifiably insane. peace
  4. I follow war news with a certain horrified fascination. The fog is thick, but stuff goes get out ... Jane's has gotten more parsimonius in the information it releases without subscriptions (and they are pricey) but if you go to Janes dot com today, there is some interesting stuff on Ukrainian special forces, electronic warfare capacities (more than I'd thought) and so on.
  5. Russian armored vehicle running over a civilian car with people inside. Ukraine. February 25, 2022. Yes, there is audio.
