  1. I'm probably going to regret selling this reel, but I am selling a couple of spare reels to make up for recent splurging on jigging tackle. Believe it or not, I have sold and purchased the same reel I sold on the BTS forum in the past (Shimano Talica), LOL. Anyway, up for sale is Shimano Trinidad 16A reel. I'm the first owner and I took it on 2 or 3 trips. I upgraded the handle to a power handle ($35 handle from Reel Power Handles) and I'm including the stock handle as well. I have the box and papers. It's spooled with 85 lb Sufix 832 braid. I would say cosmetically, it's 9/10 and mechanically it's 10/10. I personally didn't see anything wrong cosmetically, but since it went on a few trips, I'm sure there could be hard-to-see blemishes. Please take a close look at the pictures if that matters to you. Power handle had benign scratches on it when I bought it. I am selling the reel for $435 (Paypal). Thanks!
  2. UP FOR SALE SHIMANO TRINIDAD TN30 SPOOLED WITH 50# OR 65# DEPTH HUNTER POWERPRO LIGHTLY USED A FEW SCUFFS BUT EXCELLENT MECHANICAL CONDITION $250.00 SHIPPED PRIORITY MAIL CONUS THANK YOU FOR YOIUR CONSIDERATION
  3. Shimano Trinidad 20 gold very clean used with very minor marks. Very clean, the TN 20 is worn off but otherwise really nice $325 Shimano Trinidad 16 gold in box Excellent condition another very clean reel ready to fish $350 Check out the pics, Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions appreciate it!
  4. Looking to buy either a Ocea Jigger or Trinidad for tog fishing. Not a beauty queen so used is okay by me. Thanks in advance.
  5. Have a Lami tri flex 7030 that I use for bottom fishing and currently have a penn fathom 15 on it which I like but the reel is slightly to wide for my liking. I'm looking to take the jump into the higher tier of star drag reels but I'm really looking for one that has a smaller profile specifically having a narrower spool. Does anyone have experience fishing one of the smaller Daiwa saltigas, Shimano trinidads/ocea jiggers or Accurate Terns on a Lami triflex 7030 and can let me know what they think. Thanks in advance.
  6. Fished about 5 times. Washed down each time. In excellent condition. A few small marks. Please see photos. 30lb jbraid grand spooled on. Box included. $385 shipped
  7. Fished once and washed down. Spooled with 30lb jbraid. No scratches. $410 shipped. Firm.
  8. Time has come to say good by to some of my prized boat reels. I am downsizing and decided to sell three of them. I like these all equally and I'm planning to sell only the first three that get claimed. All are 8/10 cosmetically, 10/10 functionally. I would actually give them an additional point for cosmetics, but that's all relative. I can take more close-up pictures upon request. I only took two reels at a time on boat trips and I didn't get to rotate them around too many times. The Saltiga saw more action than others. Not sure why, but that reel just feels extra nice. Avets are both G2's and they are built like tanks. Definitely not as smooth as the other three reels, but perfect for togging in the winter or going for sea bass in wrecks (maybe overkill). Daiwa and Shimano are all very smooooooooth, especially compared to the Avets, but they also cost more. I worked hard for these babies... One part of me says just keep them all, but a small part of me (and the wife) says let some go. Prices include shipping to CONUS. I am accepting Paypal. Avet G2 SXJ MC (SXJ G2 5.3 MC RH) spooled with 50 lb Power Pro Purchased new (first owner), selling for $145 Currently retails for $265 Avet G2 G2 SXJ 6/4 MC (SXJ G2 5.3 6/4 MC RH) spooled with 50 lb Power Pro Purchased new (first owner), selling for $255 Currently retails for $345 Daiwa Saltiga Star Drag (SASD15H) spooled with 40 lb Power Pro Purchased new (first owner), selling for $285 Currently retails for $400 Shimano Trinidad A (TN12A) spooled with 40 lb Power Pro Purchased new (first owner), selling for $325 Currently retails for $460 Shimano Talica Lever 2 Speed (TAC8II) spooled with 65 lb Power Pro Purchased new (first owner), selling for $350 Currently retails for $500 I don't have much room to negotiate.
  9. For sale is a shimano trinidad 12a. Fished once and washed down. There are some marks as shown in the photos on the left side plate. The price reflects this. Spooled with 30lb jbraid. Box and papers included. $410 shipped in the continental US. Firm.
  10. Have a saltiga 15. Have a trini 12. Only want to keep one. Love the saltiga for the low gear. The trini has a clicker. I primarily fluke and blackfish. But I do some striped bass as well (so far have only diamond jigged). Is it possible to chunk without a bait clicker? Or does it just totally defeat the point of leaving the reel disengaged so the bass can run with it?
  11. Had a nice conversation with Beastly yesterday and I’m looking to see if I can find out some more information. I recall Scooby’s video on the 2018 Saltist Star Drag. There were a number of differences between it and the Saltiga. One being that it has a plastic set plate. I’m curious if we have information/photos on the Trinidad, Ocea Jigger, Tern? Any of the popular Star Drag conventionals? I’ve handled the 2011 Ocea Jigger. I love it. I thought the intervals were supposed to be superior to the Trini. Why do we like it so much? Which are internally actually made the best? I believe the Saltiga has a metal set plate. But I’m not sure. Found some photos from a maintenance tutorial on the Alan Tani site. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.
  12. Purchased this handle for an Ocea jigger. Mounted it. Removed it. Found an issue with the jigger and returned it. The reel and thus the handle were never fished. But has been removed from the plastic which I’m not sure I have anymore. So selling as used. $45 local pickup Queens/Nassau $50 shipped Will also trade for a new Stradic FK c5000 spool.
  13. For those of you who have fished them for bigger fish .... how well do you like the current Trinidad A-series reels?
