  1. I have a gloomis shortstix for sale. I’ve had it a few years. I don’t think I ever had a fish on it. 3 piece rod. 7’6” comes with rod sock and case. pictures to follow. $350 obo contact me for either shipping or meet up in person.   3. Hi, I've been on the site for a while, but am new to the fly fishing forum, so hello all. I am interested in a 4x shortstix rod, but am unsure which model would best fit my needs, so I am asking for some advice from those who have used them. I already have a sage rplx 9'10 weight, which is my go to rod, along with a rplx 9' 8 weight and 9' rplx 12 weight. I will be using the shortstix to target stripers, blues, albies and bonito. I will be fishing back bays, occasional oceanfront (on less windy nights) and working the shadow line under bridges. I need the rod to give me good casting distance with normal to larger flies, along with enough backbone to turn a decent fish before he makes his way to the pilings and breaks me off. Do you think the 9/10 will give me enough, or should I just go for the 10/11. I also want to be able to enjoy playing the fish, not just crank it in with a broom handle. Thanks in advance -Z
