  1. For sale - no shipping. Located near Allentown, PA for pick up. Could also possibly meet at CCC over weekend of June 3rd or in NJ after June 10th. New Lamiglas Carbon Surf LCS106MS (10’6” 3/4 - 3). Never fished & has tags. Nice action. Rod is fairly moderate. $165 Used twice St. Croix Mojo MSS110MHMF2 with extra top section (11 rated 3-8, but to me and many others it is more like a 1.25-to-5.5ish). Nicest rod of all Mojo’s, IMHO. $175 Excellent condition Custom RodGeeks SRF106MHMF2 (10’6” rated 2-6, but I think of it more of a 1.25-5ish). I built this rod with neat wraps and a carefully applied coat (not sloppy) of ThreadMaster Lite finish. Fuji reel seat and Fuji SV guides. The blank is a nice metallic black color. $160 New Rainshadow SUR1508F Custom Heaver - Conventional. Serious bait fishermen will be familiar with this blank. Rod has a Fuji reel seat (faced down locking) and Fuji Hardloy guides. Rod was never cast and is in mint condition. $175 New Lamiglas GSB1502MH blank. One of the most famous Hatteras Heavier blanks of all time. This is not the brand new 70/30 design. $175
  2. Here’s a blank ive been wanting to play around with for awhile. It’s a Rainshadow Revelation 12’6” rated 2-6oz for Mexico. Enjoy for now.
  3. CMS Built Rainshadow SW 1208 AND Shimano Saragosa 10k combo. Reel just returned from Shimano service. New 50# super slick. $450 obo
  4. Hello all, I am sure this topic has been brought up a lot, I apologize in advance. I have two custom builds that I love, a LamiGSB 9’6” and a Bushido 8’6” The Lani I use for relying and bigger plugs.. the tips isn’t really sensitive so it’s not great for SPs, Bombers, Needles etc. I had the Bushido built to handle the nights when I’m throwing the smaller stuff... I am looking for something a little bigger in 10’-11’ range, I would like it sensitive enough to toss some smaller plugs at times but be able to handle the occasional bigger plugs or rigged eels. I mainly fish RI and a Southern Ma. This bigger rod would be specifically for BI and if I have a chance Montauk this year... Thank you for any input and recommendations. I will be pairing a VSX250 or 275 with this as well. Tight lines!
  5. Hi All, Been a while. I still see some familiar names in the forum which is good. Hope all you been doing good. I've been preoccupied with other priorities in life that kept me away but in the process of slowly reclaiming some. So here I am, thinking about rebuilding my Rainshadow SU1266f built as conventional - say... 13 years ago? - to a pencil popping spinning rod for Penn 6500 sized reel. I think, I can cutt off the reel seat and tape up a Spinfisher on top of cork tape then replace a few (2-3) collection guides, re-position and wrap remaining MNAG guides (20-16-12-12-10-10-10-10-10 is what I have now) on opposite side of the rod. Basically I need to do this with minimal cost and it seems like there are few more guide options available now days. Tempted to KR/KW guides but they seem to be out of my budget range. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Cheers!
  6. Anyone have or cast both? Ive built a few IP965 rods and enjoy them. How does the BH blank compare? Action ? Flex? What's the sweet spot? What does a blank weigh? Thanks.
  7. I need to build a new snook rod as I sold my current one on a whim through Craig’s List this evening. The one I sold was a Batson Rainshadow SW 1087 (rated 3/4 to 4 oz, 15#~25# line) set up with KR Fuji guides. I liked it very much, but it seemed a little to stiff for the 3/4 to 1-1/2 oz buck tails and lures I was using it for. I sold it to a guy who is taking it to Oregon to bait fish for salmon, so it found a good home. If I were to build that rod again, I would reverse the spine so that the natural curve goes up (spinning set up) to soften it a wee bit on the cast and maybe make the rod more stable on the cast (comments appreciated). Anyway, I am shopping for blanks and am looking at stuff rated 1/2~2 ounces for this new build. I figure I should be able to throw 3/4 oz to 1-1/2 oz buck tails and SP minnows well and still be able to throw my smaller 5/8 oz plugs so it would be more versatile. The heaviest lure I own is 2-1/8 oz and it only comes out occasionally if at all. The specific application is shore fishing in a few inlets on the west coast of Florida for snook (slot size is 28” to 34”) using mostly 1 oz Flare Hawks (a type of bucktail) and lures around 1 oz plus or minus a little. The water is moving, but not to fast. I would really like to stay under $150 for the blank. I have three in mind and was hopeful that some of you ladies and gentlemen could comment on their suitability for the task at hand or recommend something I might have overlooked. Lamiglass 1018 L, 9’ (1/2~2-1/2 oz) Black Hole Suzuki, 10’ (1/2~2 oz) (obligatory inclusion on this forum as of late) Batson Rainshadow SU1264F. 10.5’ (1/2~2 oz) I will probably be building them with a Fuji KR setup and pairing it with a Daiwa BG 4000 and/or a Stradic 4000. It doesn’t matter to me if it s one or two piece. Any and all comments are appreciated.
  8. Can anyone compare and contrast any of the three following rods? Lamiglass 1018 L, 9’ (1/2~2-1/2 oz) Black Hole Suzuki, 10’ (1/2~2 oz) Batson Rainshadow SU1264F. 10.5’ (1/2~2 oz) The specific application is shore fishing in a few inlets on the west coast of Florida for snook (slot size is 28” to 34”) using mostly 1 oz Flare Hawks (a type of bucktail) and lures around 1 oz plus or minus a little. I sold it to a guy who is taking it to Oregon to bait fish for salmon, so it found a good home. Now I need a replacement.
