I just ordered replacement bearings for my penn slammer III from mystic parts but got shielded bearings instead of the blue sealed bearings that came with the reel originally. Are these the same thing generally or did Mystic send me the wrong bearings ???

why Van Staal when I’m not out often beating up my equipment? I hear VS crank requires a little effort. Slow retrieve but that gives more power. Can anyone compare a VSX2 200 bailess vs Penn Slammer IV 5500 bailess? you may say there’s no comparison but why? TY!

2 Penn Slammer lll 4500 sized reels. I bought these over the summer in anticipation of using them in the surf but ended up staying with my two Saragossa. These are both brand new, never had braid on them, never used at all. Brand new in box. Both come with both handles (metal and foam) washers, etc. Asking $220 shipped for one or $420 shipped for both. Any questions just ask, thank you.

I just moved to gulf shores and have never salt water fished in my life. I would like to fish off the pier here for drums and sheepshead. The guy at the store convinced me to buy a Penn Slammer III 4500 which now I think is overkill, but I’m just going to keep it. What would be a good rod to match this reel for what I want to do? Thanks

Hey guys, Looking to sell my Penn Slammer III 4500 spooled with Daiwa J-Braid x4 40lb. Bought it for the intention of doing some surf fishing, but didn't have much of a chance. Took it out on 3 outings, has never been dunked and never caught any fish on it. Cosmetically would be as close to 10 as it gets, Mechanically 10/10. Come with all original packaging (eva knob, washer, manual) Looking for 200 shipped, or 190 picked up. Can meet around NYC, CT coastline or south county RI. Also, selling a brand new Penn Conflict 4000 with a new spool of PowerPro 30lb, 300 yds. Only opened the box to take a picture. Looking for 110 shipped, 100 picked up. -
