  1. On March 17 & 18, 2018, Shore Fishing & Casting Club International held the annual Jerry Valentine Casting Tournament in Kingsville Texas. Congratulations to Will Nash and Mike Langston for casting over 800 feet and the 8 casters who established new personal best (PB) distances. Several out of state casters participated, including Jeremy Schrader from Australia. A good time was had by all. To quote competitor David Womack: "The 2018 JVC was an awesome competition with awesome people. Thank you all that were involved. These events can’t happen without everyone. Thank you Will Nash for putting the official final results together and getting them posted up for all to see. You guys and gals are the best if the best." And Justin Dodd states (regarding the dedication of Carlos Osuna): "This man deserves a huge thank you for his hard work and dedication to the sport and SFCCI. Thank you Carlos Osuna for all that you do. I know you are not alone in this and thank you to all the others that help make the JVC a great event."
