Has anyone given these new legend tournament inshore rods a workout? I owned 2 of the older ones and found them to be great rods but preferred the IMX pro blues. The new legends seem to be directly targeted at the imx pro blues. St. Croix has a few rods in their lineup that interest me and aren't really available in the loomis/shimano lineup. Would love to hear some input. Thanks in advance.

In the market for one of the older Legends. Just not a fan of the looks on the newer models (fantastic rods I know, just personal preference). My question for you guys that fish the older rods with the lowriders, how are they as far as fish fighting power and durability goes? Thanks!

Hello - Legend surf was purchased before augest to fish in the canal. Used it around 10 times. Very good condition and very minimal scratching, the main place with scratches are on the butt of the rod. The torzite guides are awesome and in great shape. $350 for it. We can talk about meeting up.

Hoping someone can give an exact brand and model to a rod that feels and provides the similar qualities to the St. Croix Legend .75-4oz surf rod Model: LGSS106MM2. I’m assuming I won’t find an exact alternative with such high quality components, but something in the $300 or less area that has the same action and feel ratings. Anybody have a recommendation? Another rod that will probably spend a lot of time on the rack this season. Picked up used on this forum around this time last year. Used, but in great condition. I have too many similar rods. Well the season is over and i would like to part way with my 10’6” 2017 St Croix Legend LGSS106MHMF2. Rod is located in monmouth county nj. Prefer pickup and cash. Selling a lightly used St Croix Legend Elite spinning rod, 6'10 medium light action. Rod is the drop shot/finesse rod model. Excellent rod, bought last fall, used about a dozen times, still in amazing condition. Picked up in North Jersey, $175. Will ship for $200 PayPal, I have plenty of rod tubes I could put it in. The shimano Sahara 2500 on the rod is also for sale if interested, $45, but would package it with the rod for a bit less if interested.

I have a slightly used 9' St Criox Legend, this rod does not have a butt cap. This is last years model. I used it for half of the season last year. I am located in RI, and am willing drive a little to meet up. I occasionally go to the Cape and down to Ct. looking to get $300 for the rod. I will post pics later when I get home from work.

I only cast it a dozen times and it was new when I bought it from someone on SOL. It is not a new generation legend it is at least a year old. Great rod if your into throwing the bigger stuff. I bought this rod used from a fellow SOL member a few years ago. I have a 10.5'er as well which I use more. This rod has been used 3-5 times and is in used but good condition. Stored in a closet. There's some superficial scratches but nothing bad. This is a great rod, I just always seem to grab the longer Legend. I am near Boston and I can meet you around Cape Ann/Northshore, or sometimes in RI. Or I can ship. Asking $240. Paypal, cash, or check.
