  3. My big X-Mas gift this year was a PiranhaMax 197c. So I'm wondering how to mount it on my yak, I'm only worried that a scupper hole is going to scratch the transducer when landing. How do you mount them?
  4. I have two older/ early generation sit on top Wilderness Systems Kayaks. These are the fishing 'yaks with rod holders just behind seat. They need to be cleaned up. They float just fine. Cockpit plugs are missing, I just cut a nerf football in half. Plugs for the hulls are in place. Boats are water tight. I am located in Montauk and you can pick up. I have paddles and some seats. Boats have been on a rack outside. They are old, but they work just fine. $200 per kayak or take them both for $350. Regards, Mike
  5. It’s not as if I dislike yaks. I fish from one occasionally, but keep it to the flats, etc. It’s getting’ ridiculous what’s happening in some places now. A friend was at Race Point yesterday, and there’s 70 boats in the fleet and it’s really tight. Drifting…live bait or vertical jig. Some of the yakkers have to get right in there. So my buddy is gonna’ move, fires up the engines, and knocks it into gear. There’s a yak right under his bow. He couldn’t see the guy, who proceeds to get all pissed off. Try staying the hell away. Or my buddy had a good idea since he’s avid about bicycles…put one of those tall bike flags on your yak. If some yakker does that to me, he’s not gonna’ hear Sorry, Sir. There was a yak thread where somebody asked what to do in bad weather; like are you safer if you put the graphite rods down flat? Jesus, I don’t effin’ go out in my powerboat if lightning is likely. I already posted over in the yak section…when later in the season, somebody hooks a tuna and gets a sleigh ride to the east side of Stellwagen, I’m gonna’ have to be in a real good mood to tow you and your yak, and Towboat US will look very dirt cheap. Comes down to…what’s your life worth? It appears that some guys are trying to ruin a good thing.
