Location

  1. Peddle Drive Kayak. Located in Ventnor NJ Pelican Getaway. New $1000 plus tax. Upgraded seat was $140. Malone Kayak Beach cart was $240. Includibg a Paddle ($50). Great all around kayak that can be peddled, paddled or both. Only used a few times. Asking $950
  2. Hey all first post here on the kayak forum so I hope this post isn’t too boring or out of place. Anyways I currently have a hobie passport 10.5 with the mirage gt drive and as I’m primarily a freshwater guy I’ve only ever fished from a kayak in lakes and ponds. Now I love my kayak, it’s maneuverable, easy to transport and even stable enough for the occasional weekend warrior that just loves to create a wake right next to me going 40 mph. But the ocean is a different beast. My folks just bought some land up in Maine and we are right on a tidal river. Of course come this spring I’m excited to test my luck but I’m worried about how I’ll fare on the water. I plan to just go around the river and into bays but not any open ocean. I’d love to know what people think about my situation. Of course I’d have all the necessary safety equipment, life vest, whistle etc but I’m curious to see if anyone else has a passport that they use for saltwater fishing and if they have any tips for someone new like me. If there is anything else I should be aware of please let me know! I look forward to learning more!
  3. Selling my 2014 hobie outback with hobie crate and ctug cart. If you dont want the crate and cart ill reduce price to 1100. selling cuz i have a boat and i have 2 hobies. Dont need both hobies since i only use it less than 4x a year now. Cash only pick up only in brick, nj 08724
  4. Probably from before 2010, red, solid but ancient Hobie tandem kayak with two mirage drives that are newer and in pretty good shape. Maybe a cart and some other gear if needed but needs to be picked up in 01945. Has to go all together on account of separate is a hassle. There's always something left over. Plus I need the hull gone. Pictures if serious. Asking $500, OBRO - which is really just more about the drives than anything. Kayak itself is solid and sound, but very old. The rudder turning and dropping wires are all strung up but the rudder will need to be repaired as it broke being moved. Hatches are water tight. Seats are tired but work.
  5. Sad to say I'm selling my Hobie Pro Angler 12. Purchased in 2014, just dont have the time to get her out on the water anymore. 9. 2014 Outback: I bought this a few years ago from a local and its been a fishy boat. Always hosed down after coming back from the salt. Its got a few scratches and normal wear from frequent use but I never drag it around the beach and had gorilla tape on the bottom to protect any bumps. - Mirage drive with turbo fins, replaced the drums and masts last season. - Big sailing rudder. - Hobie scupper cart with beach wheels - Lowrance elite-4 HDI w 12V battery, trickle charger, and rack. - star mount with camera boom - Milk crate with rod holders - hobie round gear bucket - other random RAM rodholders and ball mounts. I am moving out of town for a job and cannot take it with me, so you get ALL of the gear in the picture when you pick up the yak. It is set up to fish as soon as the weather warms up. Looking for $1400 obo I also have a Yakima ShowBoat loader that I can let go for a low price if you pick up the kayak. Location: Port Jefferson, Long Island
  10. Hi all, I had a kayak stored out by my shed. The squirrels turned it into Swiss cheese! I was curious if there’s anyway to identify what foot drive I have. I want to sell the foot drive to recoup some of my cash as I’m not going to get another kayak and go through this again! There’s no numbers on the drive anywhere that I can see. I Don’t think it has reverse on it because I don’t see the cables .I was just curious what model foot drive it is? TIA EA.
  11. I’m looking to sell an original Hobie foot Drive. It’s used in excellent condition.(forward only,no reverse )Only things missing are the foot straps to hold your feet onto the pedals. Long story short my brother-in-law bought a new kayak and gave me an awesome deal on his Hobie! Had it stored outback by my shed and the squirrels turned it into Swiss cheese! Freaking unbelievable man! I now own a very nice pellet gun LOL! The only thing they chewed on the foot Drive where the straps(they didn’t touch the fins or cables)wtf. I’m just trying to recoup a little bit of my cash!$300/obo cash meet up within 25 miles of 08330 Mays Landing, New Jersey area. Not looking to ship!
  12. Hobie Trax Kayak Cart. Overall in great condition. Gets the job done! $200
  13. I will follow up sometime this week with pictures & details I'm asking 3 k obo...it has all kinds of accessories included with the kayak at no extra cost, a hobie cart and two gps units one is brand new. It even has a control panel for all the led lights installed. The previous owner really took care of it and invested alot of money upgrading it. Im looking to get rid of it asap as i no longer have the room to store it. It's a GREAT KAYAK im just getting old and have a really bad hip that needs replacement .Suffice it to say its not comfortable after a hour or so peddling. I have since replaced it with a OTC Autopilot 120. Which is much easier on my body. This is a great kayak all around. Although If you are short and or have a bad leg or something it might not be for you lol...
  14. Extra V2 mirage drive for sale. Comes with Turbo fins. Everything is perfect besides one idler cable and the pulley. Iv seen the idler cables go for $25 and the pulley for $6 new. Asking $350
  15. Hi there, Hope you are having a great day. I am wondering if I can buy a V2 chain and modify its length with something like a chain breaker to fit V1 drive. I believe I can find a nut that fits the chain assembly in home depot . What do you think? Have a nice day
  16. Listing for a friend, Hobie Trax cart used for two seasons. $200 shipped PayPal, or $175 picked up on the Upper Cape.
  17. Hi everybody, I hope you are having a great day. I bought a used hobie kayak, old one. It has 2 problems. 1 is the drive : the chain scratches the cable when pedaling. 2 is the hull. there is a crack. right above the screw. I haven't tested it yet. But the price was really good so I bought it. One pic of the drive shows the damaged cable because of scratching (hard to see from the angle, but it does scratch the cable). The other shows the position when the scratch happens. How to fix these 2 problems? Thank you very much.
  18. Looking to purchase reliable kayak in good/great condition with kayak fishing items.
  19. Good day everyone, I am in the market for a new kayak for under 3k I was thinking of a Hobie Compass but some people recommended the Outback I have no ties to any brand so I'm looking for the best kayak for the money. I live near the Hudson and mohawk rivers but and buying it mostly for trips to Long Island sound and near shore Atlantic trips in RI. I hrought my 9.5' 17 year old Perception out past the West Wall and it was hairy (probably stupid too) I fly fish often so a wide deck is important. I have a Subaru forrester and no trailer but ordered a Thule Showboat 66 Load assist so weight is a consideration. I want stability, durability, and portability, but don't need too many bells and whistles, just a place to keep a cooler or stowing spot to keep some porgies cool if I keep some, and a place for an orvis water proof backpack and a nalgene bottle. I probably won't get a fish finder so don't need a fancy compartment for it. Thanks everone!
  20. $3500 - 2019 Hobie Pro Angler (stock) - 180 Mirage Drive - Vantage adjustable seat - Cup Holder - Boondox Landing Gear - 20 months left on Hobie Warranty!!! A 2017 or 2018 has NO WARRANTY remaining! (Hobie extended the warranty for 3 years beginning 2019! Prior years only had 2 year warranties. SO 2018 and before HAVE NO WARRANTY!!!) WHY PAY $3889 PLUS $284 for the landing gear...PLUS TAX! SAVE OVER $1000!!!! (New with landing gear and tax: $4539!) NOT INCLUDED: Torqueedo motor, special attachments for fish finder, etc. Just stock kayak as sold by Hobie with Boonedox landing gear, paddle and cup holder! (Need to downsize to a PA12 given my current fishing situation and storage!) Willing to drop off 1/2 way! (I live in NYC but the kayak is in Peconic. It's been used in fresh water lakes ONLY!)
  21. So I got some warranty repairs done to my drive and seat, nothing that would've been dangerous to continue fishing with, more inconvenient than anything. Anyway, the fins that were replaced under warranty on my MD180 V2 drive, turbo fins, have already started to split a little around the section that wraps around the mast. I haven't hit anything and I'm always careful to remove them prior to launching/returning. Is this a fairly common issue, that the fins split quickly under normal use? Is it worth me attempting to try to get them repaired again under warranty? Boat is a 2018 camo outback btw.
  22. Looking for Hobie Revo 11 Preferably 2018 or newer for Compass Located in Maryland but willing to travel Thanks!
  23. I’m looking for a Hobie kayak cart for my ‘14 outback. Thanks
