I had a custom Batson 1418 built in October. It is 11'9" total length. Rated 4-7 and bait. It is a conventional light heaver. 30" to center of trigger reel seat. All Fuji Aconite guides. Cork tape handle. These are great rods. Any questions let me know. Unfortunately I have damaged left shoulder and can no longer fish conventional gear. My loss someone's gain. Prefer local pickup, but can make other arrangements to ship. It's been a while since I was here. Life happens. I will have other tackle up in the next few days. $300 plus shipping. Need a heaver and saw this blank on their site. Anyone have experience with it? Also curious if it could double as a rod to throw plugs in the 4-7 oz range. Any input would be appreciated thanks!

Title says it all. 11'4 conventional rated 6-16 oz. Rod will throw the s*** out of 8nbait. 30 inches to center of reel seat. Asking $200 pick up/meet up south shore of MA. Thanks!

I’ve been bit by the conventional bug. I am longing for simpler times. Whaddayah got stashed away? I’m looking for something one piece, ready to fish, or may consider a blank or a rebuildable. This will be for shore bait fishing only. I’ll be tossing clam, cut mackerel and bunker, etc. I have a pair of 2 piece rods, one 10’ and a 12’, so I’m really looking for that 11ish’ 1 piece that you can live without. Pickup in or near 19053, willing to meet or travel. SEPA, central NJ a plus. Thanks.

Hopefully this is the right forum. So I stopped by a tackle shop today and I noticed a nice breakaway conventional 11'9 on sale. The lure rating said 2-4 but there was no blank number. Is this a different blank than the 1418 (also 11'9) which I've read throws 3-6? Just wondering if anyone can chime in before I decide to purchase. I'd mainly be using it for throwing 4-5 oz and a chunk. Thanks
