Birdsnester posted a topic in Main ForumI started this post thinking that I wanted to avoid buying all things made in China and I thought it would be a good idea to identify the American Companies that make, manufacture and assemble their rods and reels in USA only. But, just before I posted I started to think, this is a way more complex topic. If I boycott PENN for instance, even though (in a very small way) I would be boycotting Chinese made products, I am boycotting a business that has been and American Business for many Decades and in a small way I would be impacting and American Business. I am torn between wanting to support our small business and even businesses like PENN and avoid buying China made products. Below is the post that I was about to send before I started thinking about the larger picture. I am curious about your thoughts... COVID-19 has me really really teed off BUT, even more so, heartbroken for the families that lost members and friends. Everyone knows someone by now that has been affected by this disease, I do. I have come to the conclusion and decision that I am going to do my best to boycott all things made in China. This is not going to be an easy task. So, let's get a list (albeit might be a small list) of all the AMERICAN made rods and reels. ALL AMERICAN MADE. That means manufactured and assembled in the USA. Two that I can think of is: 1. IRT Reels 2. Lamiglas I am curious about Seigler.
