  1. Anyone get anything new in the last couple years? I have a $500 PGA Store gift card burning a hole in my wallet. Thinking about the PING G425 MAX. also the usual suspects. Cobra, Titelist, TM, Callaway, Mizuno, Srixon etc... anything awesome out there I should consider? My Callaway Razr hawk is nice but hey I like new things.
  2. I'm playing Seaview (Bay course) tomorrow. First time for me. I hear it's a damn nice course. Anything I should know? Peace, -Erik
  3. So due to leap year, my company has 27 paychecks this year. The 27th is a freebie for me so I convinced the wife that I need $1,000 for a single gift. I need to get fitted for new irons and do it right. So, where do you golfers go to get fitted? I like game improvement irons of course. Don’t want blades or anything like that. I’m fond of the Ping G410’s. considered one length Cobra’s but nah I like hybrids but I really do miss hitting good long irons so I want a traditional set 3-PW thoughts on irons? thoughts on fitting? thanks! erik
  4. Just starting up a thread to discuss the third major, the U.S. Open at historic Pebble Beach. I have been watching a lot of this afternoon‘s coverage and the course looks fantastic. Maybe the USGA has redeemed themselves, perhaps they have redeemed themselves a little too much, because the players seem to be lighting up the course for a major. I know my DraftKings fantasy picks are all doing extremely well with Fowler, McIlroy and Piercy. I also picked Massachusetts favorite Matt Parziale. I’ve seen this kid play before in a am tournament and he is lights out. I wonder how El Tigre and Keopka are going to fare this afternoon.. with no wind the two of them should dominate this course.
  5. I was going to make a roof rack rod holder out of this, which is why the interior is not inside, but it's all there, keys as well ... $45 & pick it up in Greenport - $ or PP. Thanks SOL

  7. Fellow golfers and hacks alike! I am selling my Callaway X-22 tour irons 5i thru pitching wedge. These irons are stiff shaft graphite mx75i shafts. They have Winn drytac grips in a midsize. The clubs are 1/4" over standard length with standard lie and loft. These clubs are in great condition and regularly cleaned after a round. These have a blade like appearance with the forgiveness of a full cavity back. They are soft feeling and have great distance, I can really get some height out of these irons. I am looking to get $300 OBRO. Prefer local pick up, Ill let you hit them at a range if need be. However, if shipped buyer covers shipping costs. No looking for trades at the moment. This is excerpt is from the Callaway website: Performance irons designed for accomplished golfers seeking premium feel and stability. To improve on the highly successful X-20 Tour Irons, Callaway Golf engineers added new features that allow the X-22 Tour Irons to play even better and feel even softer. Precision Notch Weighting and a new sleeker hosel combine to raise the moment of inertia (MOI) for better stability and allow the center of gravity (CG) to be moved lower and more in line with the center of the face. This generates ideal trajectories and significantly enhances the level of feel. The head shape has been refined with the thinnest possible topline while still using a 360-Degree Undercut Channel, and the optimized sole width progression provides better turf interaction. Precision Notch Weighting: Precisely positions more weight to the perimeter of the iron to create a higher MOI for greater forgiveness and stability while maintaining the CG position that produces ideal trajectories and feel. Tour-Proven Head Shape: Features the thinnest topline possible while still incorporating a 360-Degree Undercut Channel. The blade length is shorter and the CG has been moved lower and in line with the center of the face to provide unparalleled performance with enhanced feel. Redesigned Hosel: The sleeker design significantly improves feel and allows the hosel to be more easily adjusted to fit a golfer's custom specifications. Sole Width Progression: The sole width of each iron has been optimized based on the length and loft to provide better turf interaction through the entire set. Callaway Golf Core Technologies: VFT Technology maximizes ball speed and perimeter weighting for more distance and forgiveness. 360-Degree Undercut Channel maximizes perimeter weighting by moving the CG lower and farther back in the clubhead, enlarging the hitting area and stabilizing the clubhead for more forgiveness.
