Can someone help me out and sell me their hardcover copy? I would get the softcover but I'm just too rough with books and they're always getting glued back together.

If you were tasked with handing a person who is totally new to fishing ( any fishing) a book that best describes your motivation, and reward when surf casting what title would you hand that adult rather bright person?

Good morning everyone, I have a pretty extensive book collection when it comes to fishing books, (how to, stories, guides, basically everything. But I’m always looking to add more to the collection. Anyone have any recommendations. Rare books or discontinued ones. If there still in print I most likely have it, but I’d still like to hear what everyone thinks. Thanks!

This may have been brought up on here before but either way, it's worth mentioning. I just finished this book and just figured I'd recommend it to y'all. It's based in Barnegat Bay and the surrounding towns. Growing up in Bayville, I was like a neighbor (not actually) to Merce Ridgeway, a native to Forked River. There's a ton of references to locations and named I'm very familiar with. All be it names of the grandparents of those I knew but all the same, pretty cool. The book highlights Merce's life and career on the bay and the history of his family in the area. It tells a lot about a bygone era and industry in the bay. It's sad that it's no longer the way it was in his youth and before. There's plenty in there though for any NJ resident, especially those of us who fish/clam and even more for natives of the area. Enjoy!

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving! I'm the Scarecrow's daughter and working with a library to select their "community read" book for the spring to be read by hundreds of people, teens to seniors. "Charlie Mike" by Joe Klein is at the top of my recommendation list BUT the review committee does not have veterans on it and I need to know if you would read or recommend this book. ...It's a nonfiction book covering the stories of several Vets who came home from Iraq or Afghanistan and founded efforts to help other Vets and disaster victims. For example, Team Rubicon was one of the first medical response teams in Haiti and formed on the spot by Veterans. Thanks, Lil
