  1. I don't support "off" days for recreational fishing. No hunting on Sundays is bad enough...
  2. RJ, You are right about amazon as a source for books. Even with the prominence of e-books I can easily rationalize additions to my fishing library. My collection of striper books includes Alan Caolo's book as well as some of Lou Tabory's works. I need to get Mitchell and Murphy's books, it seems everyone likes them. Enjoy the show in New Jersey, I know it's the flagship event. I am still contemplating which location I will attend (if not NJ, perhaps Lancaster). Thanks, Squid Hound
  3. Thanks for the additional references. I've heard that Dave Whitlock's book is well regarded.
  4. Skip, many thanks. I will check out those books. I have a friend that recently moved near the Potomac and has become a smallie enthusiast. I'm sure anything by Clouser is worth a look anyways.
  5. I've recently become more interested in smallies thanks to the use of a small boat and the shorter commute to fish. I'm mostly a sw fan but find myself with easier access to warm water creeks and rivers. Does anyone have a recommendation for some good instructional reads? I'm interested in anything, even the basic stuff to fly patterns. Thanks.
