Slim deep swimmer I’m playing around with this spring .. plug is 9 inch and 3.5 oz with 4/0 hooks .. -
Dupicolor spray paint .. I use it to repaint my redfins . Paint holds up real good and no need for a top coat
-
Thanks .. The swimmer is 3.5 oz .. black and gold is a very productive color for us .. we love black and gold needles also

They go over 10ft easy .. I originally built these for specific spot where the fish hold deep in a channel. That bottom black and gold is my go to color at night ..

Cool design on that top one .. can you also work it like a pencil ?

Very nice work. That bottom one looks killer bet it gets crushed

I only use epoxy to seal my plugs . Iv tried everything over the years and epoxy works best for me . I can have a plug primed to paint 24 hours after sealing and epoxy hardens up soft woods like white cedar . And hard woods won’t split .. Properly epoxy sealed plugs won’t take on water and get bogged down

This is my sr slim pikie . Runs down about 5 ft . I like to fish it right under the surface

Put this on a back burner a few years ago . But I’m about to revisit it . Made this hand carve with the intention of poring it from resin . Did real well with the first wood one I made few years back had back to back fish over 30 on it first night out and several quality fish in it that season . It’s a surface swimmer that makes a massive wake . Killer when the big bunker are in .

They come in strait if you just reel .. you have to give it action with the rod . The hits are violent

Thinned down version of my giant surface pikie . Got the weight down from 5.5 oz to 3.6 . .. plug is 9 inch long . There have been many large fish caught on the 5.5 oz version but it’s a beast to cast all night long so this should help . -
