  1. I see people fish with 8ft avids , 9'6 saltx, I was under the impression that line capacity is a bigger factor
  2. Thinking about buying this rod for my upcoming road trip to the Keyes, wondering if this is a good pick for tarpon , snook etc. Paired with a saltx 6000, for 3/4 softies ,sps and other lures up to 2 1/2 oz, any input will help
  3. So the 1201l should be perfect for me, how heavy does it feel? thanks
  4. Whish I could get my hands on a nex1 or evolution but no one will ship 1pc anymore, I can get a 10ft gsb 1 to 3 or a ss g2 10ft 2 to 5, I need to pick whichever is best for say 1 to 4, I had 2 old gsbs and they could throw anything, I heard the new ones have faster recovery, so I'm leaning towards the gsb
  5. Looking at this particular rod at the moment, trying to find more info on its lure range, it is rated 2 to 5 but I'm wondering what it will cast on the low end, any info will help
  6. Found a gsb 8ft 1 pc, I can get it shipped, about to pull the trigger, going to pair it with a saltx 4000 and 30# 832
  7. Great info guys thank you, looking for a 1 piece mostly, if I was going 2 piece I'm thinking tsunami salt x 8'6"
  8. Agree on the ti guides and I've heard the same about the legend being a little softer, thanks for your input
  9. Looking to buy either the Stcroix avid surf or the legend both in 8ft, I'll be using this rod mostly for bombers, sp minnows and plugs like these, wondering if anybody knows which of the 2 would be best suited Thanks in advance
