  1. How do you like it????
  2. CCR for sure
  3. He does: http://www.captainstablecharters.com/captainstablecharters.com/Welcome.html
  4. John Skinner has a video out from a couple of years ago showing they do work but nowhere near as well as live crabs. They also attracted every sea bass in a 5 mile radius…..
  5. Sounds like they are hunting for free gear....it's normally the other way around - successful "influencers" get inundated with requests to try out gear and are often provided it for free as a means to get free publicity - $100 in free gear could result in a ton of sales....
  6. Watch many of the ones mentioned here and agree that it beats most tv shows. I didn’t see Yakkingwithbigfoot mentioned - James is a local Montauk guy who regularly catches big fluke off his kayak. Worth a watch....
  7. I’ll also add that John has no sponsorship deals with Tsunami, Gulp or Quantum. Other than though his affiliate links, he’s never received a penny from any of those companies. I also know that he gets sent rods to try and pitch and he absolutely won’t if he doesn’t believe in them. Obviously, I’m not commenting on the Original Post, but addressing some of the “he pushes products that don’t work cause companies are paying him to do so” comments. Just not true.....
  8. For what it’s worth, I’ve tried both and head strap works better for me. Someone else mentioned you can buy these GoPro accessory packs on amazon for not a lot money - your best bet is to try both and see which one works better.
  9. You shooting footage off the surf or a boat? Rich (Fishaholic) uses the chest mount in his shore videos. Skinner does use a head strap which I think works better on a boat....
  10. In too. Very generous of you. Good luck to all!
  11. Weakfish are abundant in Peconic Bay (Eastern LI) throughout the summer; you just need to know where to look. Probably no chance this year with everything going on and charters basically shut down.
  12. Yes on both. I have used as light as 50 pound Spros with 2 to 3 feet of leader after the braid but 75 is the way to go and not much bigger than the 50 (both are ridiculously small and tough). As far as the chicken rig goes, I add the bottom loop about 8 to 12 inches above the sinker loop and then another loop about 15 inches above that one.
  13. Not many options with a flipping switch which is the reason Skinner loves them for fluking. Allows you to release line when fishing deep without engaging a clutch. The Energies are super nice too and have the flipping switch.
  14. The secret is slowly getting out on how awesome these things are. I think over the next 5 years, they will be as common as radar on boats under 35 feet. I've had them on my last two boats (a Rhodan and now the Minn Kota Terrova 87 inch) and it's truly a game changer.
