  1. It's literally for piece of mind and more about what if, just basic cheap insurance like having a VHF radio, pdf of rescue knife. You don't plan to use it, but if you don't have it and need it, you regret it.
  2. And how would this work on the salty while pedaling? It has no hatches
  3. No I just would like to take it near offshore once it gets delivered and not going on the ocean without a bilge pump in case of emergencies. Never know what happens and cheap insurance against a leak.
  4. Good idea, I was thinking some Fiberglas cable rods, but stainless is better, otherwise a long thing tube should also work to wiggle it in
  5. ok current best idea is to use some magnets, attached to the wires and use a second magnet from the outside to wiggle the cables to the right locations.
  6. good morning, I was wondering, if the tiny hatch under the chair is big enough to drop a battery + housing into it and also an electrical bilge pump, since I can't really fathom to utilize a manual bilge pump with this kayak in any feasible, sustainable fashion. thanks
  7. Thanks appreciate it. I actually placed an order last night for one ans now the waiting game begins.
  8. Thanks i just sold my ride 115x, so I knew that wilderness was an option. But i head that the helix drive is kinda involved and the radar 135 is not the fastest.
  9. good day, due to the Salty not having a bow hatch, how to people run wires through the hull for their fish finders? I absolutely hate having cables everywhere. My initial thinking was to mount the transducer in it's spot, run the cables through the scupper hole and than wanted to run it into the hull with one top mounted grommet and get it to the right gunnel where the cable comes out of another gromet and then somehow run the cable to the battery, I wanted to locate in the tiny hatch under the seat. Now all of this is purely theoretical, since sadly I can only work of pictures and have no access to a real one here. any idea's, suggestions, etc? I think in the worst case I could install a small hatch in the front of the yak to get access to the internals, but this seems overkill.
  10. good day, I'm looking into purchasing a 120 Salty, due to me not able to fit into a revolution 13, since I'm 6'6 and have a 36" inseam. I was sitting in a 132 PDL couple of days ago and have tons of space for my legs, but it's way to heavy for my liking. They also had a 120 PDL Sportsman, which fit me as well. So could somebody do me the huge favor and put the seat in the Salty all the way back and measure the distance to the pedals? thanks
