  1. Where’s the big full throttle approach? Red Sox are going the way of the Patriots and many other sports venues. Pay per view, other pay to see and do what you want for the spread sheet. The revolving retread players is embarrassing.

  2. Most all coastal Maine got brutally destroyed far beyond what anyone anticipated. What’s happening now is malicious overpricing for repairs by contractors who locals supported over the years. Few waterfront homeowners have flood insurance, contractors are asking this first to determine most lucrative job, it’s the same money grab that this free money Gov. has created.

Do the NY Hatcheries clip the adipose fin like Maine?

I can’t say for sure, we are getting more steelhead and domestic rainbows not clipped. There appears to be more returning fish in the rivers and tribs, maybe less pressure? I haven’t been back in 3 years, sons from Western Ma , go fall spring. When I moved permanently to Me I sold Hyde drift boat, now health and rubber legs are an issue.

Yea NY has an ok hatchery program but it has very poor fisheries management. We only have 2 miles of fly fishing only water in the whole state.

The problem is that fly fishing only sections could Never! Get enforcement to to do the job. The fly zone aka petting zoo in Altmar is #1. When they tried and fined guys the town got upset. Everyday videos come out with guys outside the law / rules for fishing there. 40 years fly fishing I fished whether I could get away from liners. So brutal winter days were best. All of the west basin is the same,it’s too easy to line ( being polite) than to do it correctly , once the guys are home , with pictures they are heroes! Awesome fly fishing still exists.

The only salmon runs left are  in Maine Penobscot and to the east and chances are we will never be able to legally fish for them again here in the United States. No one is making an effort to expand the range of Atlantic Salmon and while the range of the salmon is not expanding its deff shifting north up into parts of Northern Quebec and Grennland. Parts of Russia have amazing Salmon fishing but the southern part of the baltic sea is colapsing. Lots of issues with Atlantic Salmon fishign now and to get them consitently id say go to labrador

NY had a great Atlantic salmon program that involved creeks and small tribs. poachers by rod and reel or pitch fork l literally killed it A farmer I new had an awesome No fishing , trespassing area that was such a beautiful thing that ended as the staggers were relentless.Wild Atlantics/ gone

Check out this video that I captured from my security cameras in my cottage on Orrs.  This is the Orrs/Bailey bridge.  In the aftermath, it appears that some of the cribstones are dislodged.   The biggest problems with the last few storms is that the wind is coming from the southeast which is not the norm.  Usually, the big blows come from the northeast.  Plus, the 12/23/22 and yesterday's storm hit at astronomical high tides.  Hope Saturday is not so fierce.
