  3. Hi Gary, a lot of the later baits like this one have some uneven eyes or crooked lips, or screw eyes not lined up. His big daddys became so popular after Cinto caught his bass on one that they were just being crankdd out as fast as they could.
  4. So yours has 4th generation eyes which came out in the 1970's, its called a #20 big daddy. It was made by Leo Cooper from Stamford CT, he started making saltwater lures in 1956. Black is not a common color, but it doesn't hold much collector value. Id fish it.
  5. Its a masterlure Atom swimmer, the later models with smaller eyes were called rockets. Made in NY, theyre collectable but condition is everything.

He started making saltwater lures in 1956 and had 4 original eye variations, yours being the 3rd. The red and dark blue paint was added, your lure was originally a lighter blue.

  11. Big blue is a 1st gen Goo Goo eye made by Leo Cooper from Stamford CT, he used the 1st gen wood eyes from 1956 to around 1960, then went to a plastic eye. The gibbs had a decal eye which makes it pre 1970. Thats all I got for you lol
