  1. Anyway you could point me in the right direction? I can't find the blanks anywhere not even on the century website
  2. Sounds interesting, I was trying to looking into it but only saw completed weapon rods. Do sell just the blank?
  3. Thanks I appreciate you giving your time to answer my questions, I must have messed up while typing I meant the 732.
  4. Don't want to highjack the thread but I have been looking for a blank to match to a stradic 5000 with 30lb braid for general nearshore/inlet fishing here in South Carolina. That means throwing artificials (under 2oz) to bull reds, cobia, jacks, etc. I will also occasionally live bait as well never more than 5oz of lead (90% of the time under 3 oz). I want something that is lite enough to match the reel but still plenty of power. I am considering two blanks C2SW76HF or XC73. I am having a hard figuring out which on to go with. Which one would you recommend? If I held them both what would I notice? When would prefer the XC over the C2SW? Thanks I looked for a way to PM you but did not see an option.

    Rod help

    1. Considered that, seems like the best way to know what he wants, but anytime he needs new tackle he goes to me anyways as he does't keep up with the tackle word as much as I do. 2. For the last time THIS IS NOT MY FIRST ROD! I have built plenty of rods. I have made all my current rods, been doing it for years. I am not asking how do I make a rod. I am asking for help selecting a blank because I lack knowledge of the fishery not on rod building.
  6. I had this in the "Main Forum" before realizing there was a rod building section so here it is again. I want to make a surf rod for my dad for Christmas. He fishes on Long Island mainly Fire Island, targets Stripped bass most of the time. He currently only has 1 set up and it is a Shimano Tiralejo 10'6" 30-50lb (braid rating) 1-3.5oz Medium MF. I know little to nothing about fishing up there So I want to get some info from y'all. I was considering making him a rod with similar attributes as the one he already has but then thought that maybe his next rod should be a liter one or a heavier on. So my questions are as follows: 1.What should his next rod be? doesn't need to be specific just general overall style 2. Would another rod like the one he has be beneficial? Is it a good jack of all trades? 3. If not would he benefit more from a heavier or liter one I have experience building rods just want some info on what type of blank is best for this fishery. Thanks

    Rod help

Yes I have built plenty of rods for the fishing I do in the south East. Just don’t know a lot about the fishing up there so just want some help identifying the right blank for his fishing.
