  1. Get well Scott, my father just had prostate surgery and got the clean bill of health this week. We will have to catch up soon.
  2. Good morning fellow SOL'ers.... will be vacationing on the cape this summer, first week in august. Have a place right off Craigsville beach. Avid fishing fan up in NH, but never been to the cape. I cant imagine that its much different. Question being, and if you want to PM me the answer im good with that, but how is the night moon fishing off that area on the beaches? What seems to work best for bait? Usually use a slip weight, circle hook leader.. either chunk mac or clams. Any other information you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  3. 21 Ft Aluminum anything out at Jefferies is inviting trouble.. its too far to get back if weather turns.. and it can turn fast. Ive been many times (grew up on the coast) ..and would never go out to jefferies in anything less then a 25ft deep V with self bailing deck (scuppers). Call me less daring.. but I want to live long enough to see my kids grow up
  4. Does anyone know any information on the story posted today on WMUR regarding the 14ft boat operator being tossed out under the I95 bridge just as a marine patrol/ fish and game boat was passing him?? Which state boat was it? I have seen one that just totally plows through the water ... any info?
  5. If someone knows a better spot then 2Kr for macs.. . let me know.. SKS.. tuesday... I may be convinced to trailer the boat down.. get back to me.
  6. Caught 3 today in the Piscat, one 32.. the others in the 20s. All fat. Tons of small bait in the water as said before. Macs were spotty out at the can. Once the tide turned to incoming, active fish were scarce.
  7. Ok, macs were somewhat hard to come by at 2Kr this am.. but we got a few. The ones we got we started by hooking through the nostril, but they didnt last too long and the crabs started in on them with the incoming tide. THe next few, hooked into the back at the dorsal fin and stayed on much longer and livlier. But, once the bass hits them and runs they dont always hook up unlike if hooked through the nose. . which way do you guys prefer?
  8. Here pogies pogies.. anyone seen the pogies??? Do they have a favorite hiding spot in the Merrimack at certain tides? PM me if you wish to share some thoughts..... no spot burning allowed! Thanks!
  9. Hoping to put in on Friday early am!!! Lets go!
  10. Hey guys.. I havent been out much with this rain and other work stuff going on but doesnt seem I am missing too much... sad season so far.!
  11. Great ideas on the live wells.. I think the trash can idea is great! I know a smaller live well just wont cut it, especially with pogies.. the damn things die in no time.
  12. Anyone heard any reports of where the Pogies are at? Are any of the macs back in any numbers? Whats goin on with the Bluefish? Its eerily quiet out there on the boards!! Everyone must be fishing except me!
  13. Does the harpoon have an exploding tip? haha.. rooting for the whalers thats funny! How far out do you need to go for the FB's?
  14. I wonder how many other law abiding rec boaters and fishermen this crew has harrassed. I would like to know if there is someone we could actually complain to. Maybe one of our congressmen or senators who are sportsmen friendly would enjoy hearing of this? I dont care what badge you wear, you are not above the law you are enforcing!
